I also just noticed something. The board uses SATA II. Will SATA 150 work also on the board?

That is a good start. Be sure to check again when you do decide to upgrade. new video cards due in the next month or so from both ATI and Nvidia which may result in you changing on what you buy.

Also, I noticed that Zipzoomfly.com has better prices for CPU's.

BFG in my opinion is awesome. I have never gone wrong with their graphics cards and I don't buy refurb. They were refurbed for a reason :)

THank you ZD for the card info.. I'll take a look at that when I go to maybe upgrade this summer.

After looking at what you have selected I would like to fight you to the death. just kidding

you should realy try and find a dfi or asus board that supports sli. DFI's Nf4 lanparty series is one of the fastest out there and they are priced perty well.

The MSI 6600gt is a better card for price, I have one and I love it. it should overclock strait to the bfg speeds with little problems.

Do not buy the winchester core, the venice core processors are the way to go, they fix many issues with the winchester core and contain a far better memory controler.

You may also want to look into getting a 74gb raptor as your main hd. I have one and it rocks, but then i havent tried a ncq baised hd to tel you how they compare. Im a big fan of seagate hard drives. very reliable. I have dropped several on concrete and they still function.

note all of the depends on your budget... but it is all something you should look into. I would recomend heading over to tomhardware and read reviews on all the products that you intend on buying and then look at the competition. should give you a beter idea on what to look at.
