Rashad May 21, 2005 Share Rashad Member May 21, 2005 My father retired today after working for 50+ years of his life. He started working full-time he told me at the ripe old age of 14 years old. He had many jobs, from helping his father run a junk yard, to owning a caffe with my mom . He retired from his latest job of 14 years at Darling Store Fixtures. He made wood cabinates and shelves. This is a reminder to me that our time on this planet is short...so i'm gonna make sure that I live my life to the fullest.

Playaa May 23, 2005 Share Playaa Member May 23, 2005 I can't even imagine what it's going to be like to retire. On one hand it'll be GREAT because you'll never have to work again......but on the other hand...I am DEFINATLY going to go stir crazy.
Rashad May 23, 2005 Author Share Rashad Member May 23, 2005 Exactly, and then you'll start to wonder if you've done all the things you want to in life. You may even become depressed which isn't uncommon among the elderly.
