Any one have problems after update?

Before the update i would average 50-60 fps with 0-5 choke, now i am getting 8-10 fps and my choke is constanly 80+.......i feel like i am on dial up.

ok i went to one of the these forums clicked on a link and now CS won't even load into a server.

warpig, check your rates. The last update reset all rates back to default, really annoyed me.

 

for reference: rate, cl_cmdrate, cl_updaterate, cl_interp

for my cable I use: 25000, 60, 60, 0.04 (for a 40ms avg ping, set this higher if you're max avg ping is higher: 0.06 for 60ms ping...)

i have messed with my rates alot, got it good enough and then swoop posted his rates:

rate 25000

cl_cmdrate 100

cl_updaterate 15

that is what i use know and 0 choke ping stays between 25-30

I did... things from a distance would fade away. Game played find maybe a tad slower and stuff. Got real bad when I tried to fix it. Well I got tinkled and uninstall and reloading the stuff back in... Works fine now. LOL. I don't ask questions... it worked.
