Well I'm home for a month from 1st semester at college, I just set my pc back up but I can't remember how to get the darn wireless net in my room working!!

 

I had it working this summer, theres a dsl modem hooked up to the main computer in the living room with a linksys router hooked up to that and I have a wireless usb adapter plugged into my computer but I can't access the network at all, can't even create a new connection for some reason. I figured the problem might be that someone changed the router password on my network because my dad is a computer idiot and he had one of his tech guys screw around with my setup while I was gone so he could connect via laptop; however, I'm afraid when I uninstalled my video drivers my usb 2.0 drivers were also removed and the usb adapter won't work now.

 

I really cannot remember how I set up this darn thing last June, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

When I set up my wireless stuff I have to install the divers and software first, then install the actual card...then you should see available networks...if not then i dunno...

The thing is I got the adapter from a friend for free and I don't have the drivers, I tried downloading the drivers off linksys.com and burning them to a cd to be moved, but still no dice. I might just move my pc on to a card table in the living room and have a 1 man lan party for a month before I go back :-)
