Rashad February 15, 2006 Share Rashad Member February 15, 2006 After reinstalling steam last night, I found that I'm unable to exec my .cfg file. Here where I put it: C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\me@there.com\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg any thoughts?
akaM2 February 15, 2006 Share akaM2 Member February 15, 2006 1. Make sure it is a cfg file, I have had it happen to where it is a text file named blah.cfg.txt except windows cuts off the .txt usually 2. Are you just having issues auto executing it? If so rename it to like rashad.cfg and open CSS and then go to console and type "exec rashad.cfg" and hit enter. Also make sure it is named autoexec.cfg if you want it to auto exececute. 3. Try to copy all the info from your cfg then open another cfg file paste it over everything in that cfg file and "save as" to rashad.cfg ***MAKE SURE TO TYPE .CFG after it** otherwise it will save it as a .txt
