TheGeek October 19, 2006 Share TheGeek Member October 19, 2006 I need a 32 bit socket A mobo that can run an Athlon XP 2800+ at 200 fsb or higher. Before I buy it I will need proof that it can run it. If you have an old one thats fine. As long as it works.

TheGeek October 20, 2006 Author Share TheGeek Member October 20, 2006 Those are all 64 bit mobo's I need 32 bit. Thats why I'm putting a request here instead of buying from newegg.
discom October 20, 2006 Share discom Member October 20, 2006 why do you want 32 bit?? just get a new 64bit mobo/cpu combo with an AGP slot, and then u can just take your hard drive, ram, and vid card and throw em on the new board.
Cujo October 20, 2006 Share Cujo Member October 20, 2006 geek a new mobo isn't going to give you 500-800mhz. i don't know why you're wasting your time with this when your system is pretty well maxxed already. bumping your fsb to 200 (which is doable on your current board) will give you max 5-10% performance boost. stop looking for a quick fix with miracle performance thrown in. post your full system specs over in the hardware section and we'll give you the best suggestions we can in terms of what is worthwhile on your current system.
