Brosnan was great at making 007 the perfect secret agent. Craig's 007 was unexperienced as a double-o which made him a little rough around the edges. Leveller November 27, 2006 Share Leveller Member November 27, 2006 I thought it was an excellent Bond movie, I can't say how happy I was to see it not continue in the direction that the last two movie's have gone (invisible car for example). I think Craig was an excellent choice and was particularly pleased to see that he comes out of a 10 minute fight looking as bruised and battered as he should. Chair with no seat anyone???? Leveller November 27, 2006 Share Leveller Member November 27, 2006 (edited) I think where the Bond movies had lost track was that they tried to make them more "spy" movies, where he had to be suave etc. What we got with this one, was a Bond that you could genuninely believe was a government assassin and not a pretty face. I'd agree with you to some degree Demoner, but it was far more believable than some of the more recent gizmos and gimmicks they've had in the movies. I liked how it was much more realistic in the fact that Bond would be fighting 1 or 2 people at a time, not 1000 like in Brosnan's movies. Craig was a great choice for Bond. Metallurgic November 28, 2006 Share Metallurgic Member November 28, 2006 The realism was much needed. The only complaint was the defibrillator scene, but I guess it's feasible. I liked how it wasn't as complex as some of Brosnan's films, which I think let them concentrate on making each scene and set very realistic and convincing. Having a simple plot leaves some things to the imagination, which I believe is important for any game/movie. I also loved the ending scene when the classic bond music came in. Tracid November 29, 2006 Share Tracid Member November 29, 2006 The defib scene wasn't that out of place, I mean its 2006 maybe the British had some sort of prototype or near final build mini defib.
