FoolishMan March 2, 2007 Share FoolishMan Member March 2, 2007 My PC blows like no other. The knew way its annoying me is by not playing any dvds, be it a dvd movie or a dvd based game. I instert the disc in my tower's disc drive and nothing happens. No autoload into Power dvd and it shows nothing in My Computer --> D: drive. I noticed the problem about 2 weeks ago when I tried to play Chaos Theory and nothing happened. Didn't think much of it at the time and and didn't look into it. DVD player was fine before that. I believe it might have something to do with my drivers but I wouldn't know where to start. Any words are wisdom are greatly appreciated.

[LaW]Maverick March 2, 2007 Share [LaW]Maverick Member March 2, 2007 get the model number of the drive (either from your order form or by pulling it out real quick) and then get online and search for "(insert model number here) drivers" Download them, install them, and see if that fixes the problem...if not, buy a cheap replacement. :-)
mookie March 2, 2007 Share mookie GC Alumni March 2, 2007 Sometimes my DVD drives won't read discs while Steam is running. This has happened to me with more than one drive (a Lite-On and an NEC). Try shutting down Steam, and restarting the computer if necessary.
