Demoner March 28, 2008 Share Demoner Member March 28, 2008 Hehe, about 4 months ago I bought 4GB (2x2GB) of OCZ ram for about $80. Damn the raw material prices and economics. I think there was a shortage of silicon back then and made everything expensive. or just tell yourself that to make yourself feel better I'm kicking myself too though about a year ago I rebuilt and spend around 200 for 2 gigs of ddr2 ram and now well... dwEEziL March 28, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member March 28, 2008 (edited) Probably a shortage on the Winbond chips on the dimms. I know at one point, the better ones could only be got from a small pacific island (or something like that). DDR ram (i.e., DDR1) is still pretty expensive. I would have liked to buy a couple 1GB sticks for my older systems but I just can't justify spending that much on that old of a tech.
