discom June 26, 2008 Share discom Member June 26, 2008 maybe it was just the quality of the video, but the game already looks like 2 years old

dwEEziL June 27, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member June 27, 2008 Just 6 months left before release? Truthfully, that time should be used for polish, not something big like a graphics revamp.
anonymo June 27, 2008 Share anonymo Member June 27, 2008 maybe it was just the quality of the video, but the game already looks like 2 years old I would say that it was just the quality of the video, the graphics look phenomenal (the shadows especially) with my favourite part being the frogs leaping from the water. The problem is that it's the same horrible gameplay from FarCry. Sorry FarCry fans, I just can't stand the weapon and movement mechanics that Ubi use. I've never understood the appeal of the FarCry games apart from the graphical quality.
VooDooPC June 27, 2008 Share VooDooPC Member June 27, 2008 The game is a big holiday release which means it's probably only 1/2 way done and going to be released early by the publisher regardless if it is done or not. It is going to come out with no polish or finishing touches.
dwEEziL June 27, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member June 27, 2008 Which is par for the course for game developers nowadays.
VooDooPC June 29, 2008 Share VooDooPC Member June 29, 2008 Yup. The only polished games we get are from companies that really don't want to release bad products like Blizzard or Valve (not bug free polish for Valve, but nice touches and a good game) and Indie games. Tek-Almighty July 14, 2008 Author Share Tek-Almighty Member July 14, 2008 Well, it basically looks like Crysis (no surprise there) but hopefully will run better. I liked crysis and the orig. Far Cry was awesome. This appears to be a lot more open-ended than both of those games. Check out the IGN vids from E3 today. This one is pretty cool. http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/951257/far-c...ing_071408.html
