bushwack January 4, 2009 Share bushwack Member January 4, 2009 (edited) Not games of 2008, any great PC game that sucked up your time last year. List your top 5. In no particular order: Heroes of Might and Magic V Excellent turn based strategy in the HOMM realm. 1701 A.D. This game is soooo addictive. Real time city builder resource management war game. I need the expansion pack now. Lords of the Realm II: Siege Pack So it's 12 years old now, still a good expansion pack to an awesome turn based medieval strat game. The Orange Box Yeah I know it's kinda cheating, but for a price of a single game there's a lot of goodness inside. Fallout 3 Simply Awesome. Biggest let downs for me? Galactic Civ II, STALKER, WoW ,UT3, Hellgate London Edited January 4, 2009 by bushwack
dragonfly January 4, 2009 Share dragonfly Member January 4, 2009 (edited) UT2004 - still my favourite game ever, I just can't move on I only have one heart to give and definitely logged more hours on this than any other game this year. The other four aren't in any particular order: HL2e2 - I'll break up the orange box, because I'm man enough to do that. Portal - nuff said. Gears1/2 - yeah, this is me cheating, though I did play gears1 for PC Boishock - I enjoyed it. Let downs/bored downs - UT3 by far (or was that the year before? either way, biggest let down ever), cod4, crysis (it was fun, just not as fun as I expected) Games yet to play in 2009 - fallout 3 for sure, TFU, though I have an xbox now, so I might not be getting them for PC Edited January 4, 2009 by dragonfly

Yeah I forgot about UT3 so much I forgot is should have been on my letdown list, as well as Hellgate London.
Tek-Almighty January 4, 2009 Share Tek-Almighty Member January 4, 2009 1. Bioshock 2. UT2004 3. Crysis 4. Left 4 Dead 5. Call of Duty 4 I don't think that is any particular order, even though it is numbered. It really was a tossup between Bioshock and Left 4 dead for top honors. Sorry UT2004...since the downfall of the community, you have to take a lower tier.

YoMamma January 4, 2009 Share YoMamma Member January 4, 2009 (edited) Hmm.... let's see if I've even played 5 PC games all year: Left 4 Dead Team Fortress 2 Portal Half Life 2: Episode 2 I guess I only got 4 new games in '08 (or 2 if you mash up the 3 that came with the Orange Box). anonymo January 5, 2009 Share anonymo Member January 5, 2009 1 - Fallout 3 (had I got the PC version I would have played it just as much) 2 - Left4Dead 3 - TF2 4 - CSS 5 - Age of Conan This list in no way represents quality, only a list of the games that I spent the most time with. Actually the quality comment really only refers to Conan, and not that it was exceptionally bad, but doesn't hold a candle to the rest of the list. Actually I've realized that I haven't been playing many PC games in the previous year.
