(8800GTX vid card) I plan on jumping to the Dell 30" 3008WFP and it supports 2560 x 1600 native res. Dell can compete with anyone when it comes to monitors. Check your monitor manufacturer for compatibility...but if it is the above res...it should be able to play HD content full screen (with little little bars top and bottom) as well as games at standard rez. I don't know many games that do 1920 x 1080... Better than rez is the type of panel, the color gamut, backlighting bleed etc...those will be more important.
