MrDuke February 17, 2009 Share MrDuke Member February 17, 2009 Everything points to the good 'ol add/remove programs, but it doesn't show up as a listed item. Sure I could just delete the file out of program files, but I know there's pieces parts floating around (like in the registry). Suggestions on removal? It's conflicting with my anti-virus and it's a known issue, but neither party has a solution (MS and Mcafee...don't ask).
MrDuke February 17, 2009 Author Share MrDuke Member February 17, 2009 Nvm. It's not considered a program, it's an update. Found it and uninstalled it.

ZeroDamage February 17, 2009 Share ZeroDamage Member February 17, 2009 I would also recommend you avoid McAfee for an antivirus solution. Just as bulky and clunky as Symantec/Norton and just as useless.
samurai nightling February 17, 2009 Share samurai nightling Member February 17, 2009 Duke i had this same exact problem. The McAfee was coming up with a white blank screen right? McAfee said they weren't fixing the issue until IE8 was released officially or something like that, so i had to uninstall it too. Took me a good hour or 2 of uninstalling/reinstalling until i was smart enough to check their support forums.
MrDuke February 18, 2009 Author Share MrDuke Member February 18, 2009 Ditto. Ok, ZD. I have less than intelligent family members so I need a suite that's proactive in monitoring, not reactive. What's the best thing out there right now?
