wmpnetwk.exe

I know that the process wmpnetwk.exe has to do with the Windows Media Player Network Sharing service, but, on my Dad's Win7 x64 machine, it is using around 1.2 GB of memory and 70 to 90% of the processor just idling. On top of that, if I disable the service in services, it switches itself back to Automatic when I reboot the computer, and the file comes back. Odd behavior for a legitimate service. I'm wondering if something didn't hijack his media player network service and whatever it is uses that service to do whatever it is doing.

Any thoughts? I'm going to run a UBC Anti-Virus scan (Ultimate Boot CD) in a bit to see if it finds anything, but any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!
