TheTokenBlackguy October 1, 2011 Share TheTokenBlackguy Member October 1, 2011 Would glitching on purpose be construed as cheating? Last night during the finale Infected weren't able to spawn on 1/2 the map due to someone using a glitch
ValenAlvern October 1, 2011 Share ValenAlvern Member October 1, 2011 (edited) If I recall correctly. Theres a rule against using glicthes, and abusing the game to ones own beneficent, or at least something along the lines of that. It would be also wise if you had a demo, to see if it was intentional, unless the chat logs say otherwise. JackieChan October 1, 2011 Share JackieChan GC Alumni October 1, 2011 Hm...either that glitch is legit (nice job, Valve), or it's a glitch with the game itself (again, nice job, Valve). I myself haven't seen that done before, and no teleport commands were used either (since those would get logged). If it happens again, please post again because I'm thinking this occurrence was more of a fluke than an exploit.
Harrold October 1, 2011 Share Harrold Member October 1, 2011 I was there when this happened, and it was the following way: He somehow got stuck up there and was not allowed to move. He moved, he died, he tried it and he fell all the way down. When we gave him points to buy himself back, he was not teleported to the ground, but was stuck up there again. samurai nightling October 1, 2011 Share samurai nightling Member October 1, 2011 Prolly a glitch with the revive feature then. Instead of reviving onto the corpse, it revived up there. That tends to happen sometimes, and I wouldn't say he did it on purpose or to ruin it for infected if that was the case, but rather took advantage of an opportunity rather than dying. Prolly wont see this too often.
