If the problem is third party gadgets and you're careful with what you install, there should be no issue right?

I'm gonna hold off until the presentation and see exactly what's going down. Dual screens and tucked on the right edge of monitor two I've got a nice weather gadget followed by hd, network, cpu/memory, and gpu monitors. Especially nice glancing over mid game and seeing cpu and gpu use at a glance.

I like and use them constantly.

MS Hotfix that disables it for you automagically.

If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker could take complete control of the affected system." To be successful, they added, "An attacker would have to convince a user to install and enable a vulnerable Gadget."

Existing ones should be safe I'd assume from that statement.

Pretty much what I figured but I'll still read the presentation. I have a user account as my main and a separate admin account. This something everyone should do anyways.

And of course, dl a skeezy gadget. Yeah. Par for the course security.
