Kaizen's left 4 dead 2 config build

Since my pc can only just handle left 4 dead 2, i was thinking of using this to enhance my fps.

 

But since i'm a total computer newbie, i have a few questions for you pc geniuses first:

 

1. will this actually boost my fps/gaming experience?

 

2. can implementing this pose any threat? As in destroying my binds or just game as a whole

 

3. if it is dangerous, any safety measures i can take?

 

4. Would it be worth it?

Never heard of this Kaizen cfg, but it looks like there is a lot of discussion on the steam forums about it... I don't really see it as being dangerous.

 

It might delete your binds, not sure.

 

Is your fps low right now? You can always try it out and undo it if you don't like it (just back up your old cfgs before you try it (autoexec.cfg and config.cfg).

yep fps not too great right now. That and some kind of bug in our router is really driving me crazy.

 

So i took that autoconfig.cfg file and put it in my L4D2 folder as it said, but don't i have to click it for it to work?

Any file called "autoexec.cfg" will automatically run when the game is booted up. For lack of a better term, it's plug 'n play.

I put it in my config file under L4D2 but don't really notice any difference

Throw it in your /cfg/ folder.

In my Left 4 Dead 2 map, there's a /config. In /config there's only one other map: /html.

 

I've put it in /html. don't notice any difference.
