Deadlock July 7, 2014 Share Deadlock Member July 7, 2014 I apologize for switching teams, but a friend of mine (Killz) a regular in the server, asked me to switch sides because he had a multiple amount of new players on his team, and all the incoming players that were joining in, were being put on survivors thus stacking that side of the team, regardless of the fact that his side was winning prior to my switching, they would have lost the next round brutally had I not switched, even when I did switch I was dead, and Killz sent me points just so i could revive myself and further help the team even through the fact that I wasn't even a main. Soon after, I was banned by the console for "stacking" it wasn't intentional stacking, Had the game continued and I had not switched, the other team would have faced a brutal defeat, I was just trying to make it more even, that is all. Killz July 21, 2014 Share Killz Member July 21, 2014 First of all, We aren't a "Crew" Can you not tag us with such a negative connotation, THANKS! it makes you sound like you do wana stir a pot. And Charon u lil QT Pie, liking this only shows how badly you guys dislike us. We are simply friends, we have switched teams before in the past. there are only a few reasons we have ever done so. a. the other team is losing really hard (it doesn't matter if one of us is on the other team.. we don't care, we want a fair fun game not a stomp (unlike some admins I won't call ya out today i got patience for all my screenshots and proof that you want) b. yeah so deadlock has gotten banned before your switching, and after talking a more "friendly" admin we have since stopped. c. our "crew" or group of friends, has a lot of knowledge in points servers, we know how teams work, within the end of the very first round meaning BOTH sides of the map i can easily tell whether a team is stacked or not, who are the strongest and weakest players on both teams, and how easily a team can be fixed by simply transferring one person, so yeah it happened to be my friend that has switched (im sorry he was trying to make the game more even, i guess people that can't handle a tough game would rather QQ and ask for a ban) And finally to all the admins that will see this and get upset, I could say i have no meaning for that, but lets be honest. servers can be made or broken based on the admins, if you wana have that ban hammer and run this server like a judge, DO IT. that's fine! it gets rid of a lot of people on a strict bases, now the PROBLEM, is when one of those admins, feels he's above the rules. and does whatever he pleases. I won't mention any names now, because I was kind enough to not take screenshots. But a scenario happened not too long ago. Where an admin, was originally on My team. our team goes through this map, the enemy team goes thru, and the map transfers, at some point along the line, that admin rejoins later. and is on the enemy team, mmk. that's fine. he goes afk i believe or reconnects at a later time. and ends up on the survivor team, KICKING one of our players (remember this was his ORIGINAL) team. he then, TRANSFERS to the enemy team, while we are busy dealing with hordes upon hordes of infected on us, leaving us with a OH SO LOVELY helping bot. his excuse... "he was on this team and someone took his spot" so we are now down a player, and the enemy team now has him. damn im sure i would be instantly banned for switching with the excuse of "i was on that team originally" In this scenario. not only is it okay, to leave the server to join back in on the enemy team hell u could easily do that intentionally without being caught. but we are against switching teams to knowingly fix them and make them more fair? mmk. be mad at me for this post, or if you take it too personally, just delete it. but this is how we feel about the game. question why we do things, don't get instantly upset about it and hate us... we just wana have fun like EVERYONE ELSE.... we just have a lot more knowledge. is that a crime? I agree with you that the admins make or break the server. I personally don't do any remote bans and we have been discussing this ban in the admin area because we care about our servers. We just don't go and ban and forget about it. With that said, at least I feel, you guys are a crew and that's fine. A bunch of you joined together and talk like old friends and that super cool. That's not a negative thing. I had a small crew here before they went on to other games. With that said, I have joined the server under other names and seen the team switching on your part or deadlock... I have seen you wanting to play with deadlock and vice versa and I seen how you don't care if it messes up the gameplay by stacking (This part I don't like). I have bitten my tongue only to see the outcome be bad . For me to ban someone who plays regularly means they really did something really really bad. I personally though understand playing with friends makes it more fun. But... your attitude and your comments show your lack of respect towards our rules, server and community. I am not going to be the one putting the ban hammer down (Only because I am on vacation now), but don't be shocked if it does happen. Just a small tweak in your attitude will go a long way. I can understand your frustration as I was like you about 3 years ago, but the servers are run by a community with rules/ It does not matter if you like them or not. Those rules will be enforced. Heck, I don't like some rules either, but I follow them. The rules we have in force, keep things under control and provide a fun gaming environment. Admins have a set of rules to follow. If someone disagrees with the rule and would like to have it changed or does not understand it, post it in the general L4D2 forum. Admins can make mistakes, but if you believe an admin is purposely breaking or ignoring rules, then report them. They will be dealt with. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Killz July 21, 2014 Share Killz Member July 21, 2014 mmk, how about this. rather than my being upset, want constructive criticism? tell your coder, that this is a very simple code to create. take every players PPM, and create a scramble, that is based specifically on that. so that at the beginning of every rd, the highest PPM goes to team A, the 2nd and 3rd highest go to team B, 4th and 5th to team A, and so on until everyone has been distributed. using this, there shouldn't be ANY stacking. this will right off the bat, force a more even approach to the games and none of us would feel the need to switch. and since you have been watching us in the server and noticed our switching. 1. why not ask why we did it? because we are always trying to make games more even believe it or not. 2. up above someone wrote saying that we should ask an admin, would love to. but too busy they are in the servers with name changes i suppose. 3. how about possibly making people in the server have the option to vote for a scramble? requires at least 10 people or a 66.66% majority that way it takes both teams to fully cooperate and agree on a scramble, rather than waiting on members or admins. yeah, this topic is old. i dislike us being called a crew. and i agree, my attitude isn't the best. and i can man up and say i'm sorry for that. but this isn't the first time i've had this type of stuff come up, and it most likely won't be the last, but i will try my best to keep myself in check, so long as the admins can do their part and maintain a fun environment, not a "i would rather win than do my job as an admin" and everything will be FANtastic *thumbs up* have a nice day. i won't respond or read anything further on this post. feel free to add me on steam for further concerns should any ever come up. it should be linked to my profile or just search up Killz[f-] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I again suggest sending in a report about specific instances with specific admins. Other than that, follow the rules and have fun like everyone else.
