Hendryx May 25, 2003 Share Hendryx Member May 25, 2003 (edited) Be prepared for when that secretly evil country everyone talks about but nobody has ever seen decides to nuke the crap out of us! Safer America EDIT: There, happy? You can even buy a defribillator for $2,800! When you're carrying it down the street during your stroll to work and suddenly an elderly man passes out on the sidewalk, you'll be ready! Remember Kids: Paranoia is not a marketing scam. Seriously. Chief May 25, 2003 Share Chief Member May 25, 2003 Living in the midwest I consider most of it overkill. I have a water purifier, tent, stove that will burn anything from crude oil to rubbing alcohol, bottled water, and firearms. I haven't made the psychological leap to wanting to live in chemical war zone. Buying a mask is only good for a few hours. You need filter rechargers and so much other stuff. Chief's survival store: Mountain Hardwear Skyview 3 Trailhead 72 chair/pad Gregory Palisade pack MSR Dragonfly Northface Big Fella PuR water purifier Mossberg 835 Browning Buck Mark 5.5 Target Kimber Custom .45 Bushmaster XM15 E2S 20in Barrel Black Diamond LED headlamp (70 hours burn time) 4 or 5 candle lanterns with 10 hour candles a few 2 AA maglights that have the removable lens for candle mode feature and of course the requisite D cell/billyclub Vasque Montana boots I could keep going, but I'll just say I buy flannel lined LLBean pants, and my ammo bulk from Cabela's.
