  6. I decided I'll build it to track stats per weapon. That means kills per weapon, headshots per weapon, and also for bots and players separately. Not gonna lie, this is going to be a LOT of stats. Lowkey might be cool tho 🤑

  10. Yep! This is a major W, Soda. This feature gives me shades of the golden period of GC in 2014-2017 (at least from my experience). Plus, it was a LOT easier seeing how many players are in the server(s) with this stats page being at the forefront of the forum site. Yea, feel free to keep adding as much unique stats as you can possibly think of here. I think it's pretty cool seeing our strengths, and keeping track of any weaknesses that we could improve on as Survivors or as Infected.
  11. Hey everyone! I'm currently developing a stats system for use in GC, and am interested to hear what kind of stats and functionality you would like to see. My current plan is: Link all stats to Steam ID. Track player names used to connect to the server(s), allowing for search-ability by player name. Could also possible track number of times a name has been used for each player, allowing for a 'most common' name per Steam ID. Track total kills of SI real players and bots individually, same for headshots. Track total common kills. Track total points earned as survivor and infected individually. Track total play time, total total time as survivor and infected. Track active round play time as survivor and infected. This would exclude time spent waiting for the round to start, or time spent in spectate. Track total incaps and kills of survivor real players and bots all individually. The stats will be viewable via in-game menu, and ideally I'd like to integrate a platform right here in the website to browse statistics. Considering tracking unique stats per SI class such as: Time spent alive, total deaths to survivors, damage dealt, number of abilities used on survivor (e.g. players charged, boomed, pounced, etc.), points earned. Considering also tracking per-weapon stats like total shots fired, shots landed, headshots landed, kills by headshot vs non-headshot. Considering also tracking records like 'highest kill count', or 'highest point count' in a single round for each player. Considering also tracking achievements earned, the time it took you to earn them (fastest time, average time). That's all I can think of right now... Let me know what you guys think might be nice to have! 😁
  12. Pistol, sniper, and magnum bonuses now require the weapon to actually kill the common. This means that you don't get these bonuses if fireworks, etc. do the killing while you have the weapon equipped. Hunter pounces now accurately report the correct damage in the top-left message (vanilla game), and also now the chat message for the pounce will tell you the damage you landed, as well as the specific survivor name. Common heads will now gib properly upon receiving damage. Jockey DPS has been increased to around 8/s. Smoker recharge delays have been adjusted and damage values have been slightly reduced.

  14. My mistake, turns out the 'miss recharge' value is normally 15 seconds, but in versus it's 3 seconds by default. I set it to 9 seconds, thinking that was a buff, but obviously a 200% nerf. Will be fixed shortly!

Hopefully, we see your presence in the GC server sooner rather than later! 😎👍 Speaking of good old days, is there a way that we can re-add the daily GC stats back on this website or something? We used to have that stats feature a decade ago, but it eventually disappeared years ago. It’s unfortunate too because it is 2024, and I feel like there was more detail on here a decade ago. It was cool seeing all of our strengths & weaknesses (like a weakness of mine is getting a 10+ second Joyride as a Jockey nowadays). I’d like to see neat stats like headshot ratio, number of teammates revived (percentage per round), & number of Tanks killed as Survivors, AND number of high pounces landed, number of successful rock hits as a Tank (listing the top snipers too), and number of scattering rams as a Charger as Infected. We got more technical experts on here nowadays, so I think this is realistic. It’d be one of the many ways that we can bring back more forum activity/traffic on this site again, such as the OP here finally making his long-awaited return!
  20. I'm still around, just not playing many PC games lately. A few updates about myself: -I'm currently training to get my private pilot license. I may take it further and get my commercial license but that will take a lot of time. -I quit my job a few months ago (after 8 years with the company) for a couple reasons. I had applied for 8 other positions within the company and even though I was interviewed for them all, I receieved no offers. I was considered the subject matter expert in my field so my assumption is that my manager did not want to lose me to another department. In fact during one of my interviews I was told that I have a bad reputation at corporate because I hindered a lot of processes (I was a QC parts inspector and the folks at corporate try and buy shoddy/old parts that I quarantine due to many issues). So eventually I put in my two weeks and they weren't happy. The other reason is that both my parents passed away within months of each other and I needed time to rethink my life and career choices. I had to spend a lot of time getting their estate in order and selling their property. -Now that I sold the property I have been investing in the market and planning on starting my own business. I'm leaning towards opening a flight school. My time spent at the school I go to has opened my eyes to the fact that flight schools are overbooked and there are just not enough instructors or planes available to support everyone who wants to learn. Personally I have only been able to fly a couple times a week which is not what I wanted. I wanted to fly daily but it's just not possible. -My wife almost divorced me in 2021/22...but we resolved (most of) our issues and are still married. -Spending a lot of money on house projects. As I'm typing we are having an 8x12 storage shed being built in the side yard. Anyways, hopefully one day I come back and play but when that happens, I'll be rusty as ever!

  22. Ah yea the hunter changes.. This is a bit confusing, so I can definitely see how it doesn't seem to make sense. According to my current understanding: Basically, the vanilla game message that says "[player] pounced survivor for X damage" doesn't actually represent the damage applied by a pounce in GC. This is because the damage is being handled by the points plugin, rather than the vanilla system. So as a result, the vanilla system will mislead you by saying you hit 25 damage, but since we changed the distances for the damage values in the points plugin, you actually might only have done 19, and really the only way to be sure is based on the points awarded for the distance. For example, in your video @ 1:27:38, the game message says "25 damage", but the points awarded was 7.8 out of a maximum 10 points for 25 damage (assuming player is not a bot and not incapped), implying the real damage was 78% of the maximum. SkyDiver requires minimum 20 damage, which is 80% of 25 damage maximum. And again, @ 1:28:27, game says 23 damage, but points awarded was 7.3, again under that 80% threshold for SkyDiver progress. I hope that helps clarify for now! I intend on looking towards a rework of this implementation, which I believe will ensure the vanilla message accurately reports the damage dealt while still allowing for changes to the distance values. I already have a good idea what to do, so hopefully won't take long to implement.
  23. I guess my 2 major takes are the following: First of all, how exactly do you get Sky Diver now? I ask because I landed four 20+ high damage pounces as the Hunter earlier today (with NONE of them being on incapped survivors), and I still didn’t get the Sky Diver achievement. I have recorded evidence by the way. Just check the time stamp from 1:27:10 through 1:29:33 (afterwards, I failed to land any more high damage pounces) on the 1st chapter of No Mercy down below: Do I need to land 3 PERFECT high pounces (aka the full 25 pounce damage) instead or something? Secondly, I DIG your idea of Survivors being able to see the health of the Tank now, Soda 😎👍 Yes, it sucks when your Tank ends up being wiped out by the Survivors quickly. In fact, that actually HAPPENED to me earlier when the opposing team killed me SECONDS after I bought my Tank before I even got the chance to heal first. HOWEVER, this recent change should encourage additional players to be more strategic when they buy a Tank. Unless they’re extremely confident, you shouldn’t really buy your Tank immediately after earning 50 points most of the time; especially now that Survivors can see your health bar. Either you could: 1) Save your future Tanks to earn some heal points (like around the 80 point mark in those lengthy rounds). 2) You could wait for some of your teammates to earn Tank points first. OR 3) You just have to make your first few moments as the Tank REALLY count while you still have green health. Instead of charging at the Survivors out in the open, you have the quick decision to throw rocks from afar, use different routes to punch a few Survivors before retreating back to a different path, or just stall for your teammates. Honestly, the BIGGEST positive to take from this recent update is that Tanks no longer feel invincible when you play as Survivors. It’s reassuring now that you can see how well your Survivor team is doing when battling a Tank. I can’t really say that this recent update has affected much of my gameplay as a Tank. I can still (help) wipe out the Survivor team with my Tanks; but I still have my fair share of failures as a Tank since the newer change. Aside from me occasionally forgetting that Pain Pills are worth 6 points now instead of 5 points, that’s pretty much my reaction & my analysis of the recent updates 🔥
