yea, sorry, tapes did seem a bad idea for only 8 hours of taping on them too. I was hoping for 24 hours worth of crappy res video that i can just skip thru.

I like the idea preacher! TY I would prob. do the same and just have the video recorded onto tapes? Wish there was a way to capture the "highlighted" moments of activity.

Hey gc, I'm gonna get right to it.. I've got someone or something coming onto the property and doing things to items in my yard and my car: The straw that broke the camel's back is a broken windshield on my car. (def. not a rock from driving) I would like to setup so sort of surveillance to record any/all activity that goes on. e.g. People walking, Cars coming and going, uninvited neighbor's cat who craps in our yard, possible suspects in vandalism. I'm beyond mad with this, and would like to take matters into my own hands, but not take the law into my own hands. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I thought of some sort of network camera, but I do want to get footage at night. Maybe a hunting camera that takes pics? I don't think they have a very far range. Thanks!

Here are my favs: Pandora - free online radio stream Flickr - my personal photos (it's their mobile page) twitterfon - update twitter account weather - the one that comes with the iphone remote - utilizes your network's wifi to connect and remotely control you iTunes trailguru - tracking my hikes via gps USA Manual - lots of history and kept up to date. AirSharing - Able to use my iphone as a usb drive to store files Conversions - Converts many different types of units to other units. Bytes - converts Dec/Hex/Bin/Oct gFlash+ - utilizes Google spreadsheets to create/modify flash cards. There is a gWhiz catalog of user submitted card sets. (Right now I only submitted three networking ones) Shazam - Listens to music you are playing and provides lots of information on the song/artist/title midomi - samething as Shazam, but you are able to listen to the music, sing the song, type in the song and it will search. College FB - College Football stats, easy to add your favorites and follow them. Details down the the individual plays. (Go Penn State!! I use them all on a weekly basis. except for the games, which I only play here and there. Non of them are jailbroken apps, b/c I have yet to jailbreak it. Is there apps that are allowed to run in the background on a jailbroken iphone?

i dont like the iphone ones, they dont fit my ears. (I have a bluetooth strereo one i can't use til they friggin put strereo bluetooth on the iphone)

Dweez, did u jailbreak it on a mac or pc? over the christmas break, im thinking bout jailbreaking my iphone. I too use Air Sharing, although, have u figured out a way to get to ur camera pics using it? Another one that is able to see your camera pics is box.net app, it's a free app that makes u register for their website account for 1 or 2 gb free space. I have them both and i like the ability to get to the camera, but i like air sharing's ability to use it as a network drive.

yea, i think im going to wait. after looking at what is out there and what i want in a picture frame. they are way too expensive for the $ i want to buy. my price range of under $50 means low resolution and somewhat lacking picture frame looks. thank you for all the links, they showed me what i WANT!, just can't see myself spending that kind of money on one.

check out the samsung epix if you're not into the all touch phones. My friend got one and it's really nice touch screen, full qwerty keyboard and optical scroll wheel. WM 6.1 I believe it's $199 with contract. I do love my iphone though, and it's gotten very easy to txt and type emails on it. the software is smart, so even when i bump the wrong key, I can keep going and it will autocorrect correctly 99% of the time. +10? I only see +5 for 200 txts +15 for 1500 txts +20 for unlimited thru AT&T

yea, i have an aux input on my car stereo and i have the iphone 3g adapter that plugs in the bottom and goes to red/white rca plugs into the stereo. And also usb port that allows me to charge my iphone while driving and playing music off the iphone. Of course i get the interference from the pinging, but i also get a small fuzz in the background from the charging. All goes away when I turn the music up though and keep the iphone away from the speakers/wires i actually should take pics of it.

Hey guys, I want to get a Digital Picture frame for christmas. I know there is a lot of them out there, all sorts of sizes, resolutions, abilities to get pictures (cards, wifi) You have one? Any suggestions? what u like/dislike about them. And price. I would like to get the best bang for my buck because it's a christmas gift to my g/f and I (We get one thing each year that is for both of us) I thought this was a better idea, than attempting to find a wii and wii fit. Im looking for a charging station that is a clock with speakers for my iphone 3g. walmart has them where i can plug em in, but i get that error all the time, is that normal? "This device is not setup or w/e, would u like to put the phone in airplane mode?" None of them say compatible with iphone 3g. Any ideas?

You bring up a good point. I have the iphone 3g, and I wish I got the extension plan b/c of things like battery. Wonder if you can get this directly from Apple? I had a post about cases when I got mine. I ended up getting a hybrid case. A hard case, with silicone grips on the back, so it's tough, yet not slippery.
