  1. Meh, looks pretty silly to me. Like pselus said, very cartoony. Lol'd @ the pew-pew laser effects. It also seems like a very out-dated game already.
  2. After years and years of trying in vain to crack a certain PS2 game's audio format, I have just done it with a nifty program called cube media player, which can read just about anything on a ps2 disc. I am a very, very happy man. Anyway, feel free to use this thread to up your post count with spam, like everyone usually does.
  3. I figure if you can't fall asleep while something is distracting you, you're not tired enough. Enjoy the extra time to do more of the things you like in a day.
  4. 44/50 88% Should've got the monkey island one. Don't know why carmageddon is in there, it wasnt a very popular game. I guessed that one and got it right because I at least knew what the game was about.
  5. Huh? ..................It zaps them. It's quite fun.
  6. Only bought one thing from informercials - the Abtronic, which turned out to be a downright scam. I could return it for full refund, but I kept it. People that don't know how to use it, you strap them in without wetting the area of application with water and turn it up full blast . . . let's just say the results are shocking.
  7. Best gifts were, genji for ps3 from my sister, a web cam from my brother and $80 GC for a gaming store. Looked everywhere for a Wii for my brother (to share with me of course), but couldn't find it anywyhere. Went to an EB, they got FIVE Wii's 24 hours ago...they were all gone already.
  8. Got me a $550(total) 20 gig ps3 at walmart on boxing day. I think I lucked out. Got Genji with it, it's pretty cool so far. The motion blur when rolling/attacking is just so cool.

    The Zune...

It's very easy for other PSP users to upload onto a store's PSP. I watched my friend do something of the same nature a couple of days ago, but it was a floor model, probably never to be sold.
  10. You also can't handle this. http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/transformers.html (The trailer won't be up until noon. By the looks of it, it will actually show that shot above in action. I'm gonna have trouble sleeping tonight ....)
  11. You can't handle it at all. (This a shot in the works for the transformers movie for those of you not in the know.)
  12. I spend all of my time at my computer, because it's really the only entertainment outlet I own. :/ I draww in photoshop, I'm scripting my own video game, I write novels sometimes, and obviously video gaming. Despite being on the computer all the time, it's surprisingly small how much gaming I actually do. Right now, all I play is CS, in which I play roughly 8 hours per week. Anyway, obviously with drawing, writing and scripting, I like anything that allows me to express myself. I hope to even learn how to use some audio creating programs as well. (I don't want to be confined to learning one instrument.)
  13. Let's not also forget that PS2 outsold all 3 of those, and the DS sold even more. Pwnt.
  14. Of course Wii and PS3 are down - there's no consoles anywhere I know of that I can buy. Most stores I've contacted are still trying to fulfill pre-order lists. According to IGN, Final Fantasy XII outsold Gears of War. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/750/750162p1.html That's weird.
  15. Yes, the warm-up time is fine. (Though I'm usually first to load. /brag
  16. Killing Vovik always brings much joy.
  17. Well, before anyone jumps the gun on this, I'd like to point out that this is a VERY frustrating issue at some times and I'm sure ShadowDog will edit his post some more when he's cooled down a bit. I agree with what you say. I get very frustrated when I get 'cheaply killed' by camping, strong point abuse (camping projector room with P90/shotties, aztec CT bridge, Dust 2 B - behind the boxes) and just plain old poor play. It's the same as a teammate flashing me in the middle of a fight to run in and take my kill. Unfortunately, this is what a takes to be 'good' at Counter-strike, because we all know how much this game actually has to do with skill. I play every single round with the objective im mind - if I'm the only CT left and I have to run into 8+ Ts guarding a bomb, I run into the bombsite without a second thought. Ever since I've played like that, my rank has gone down terribly - do people think I'm a bad player because of this? Not at all, everyone knows I'm always ready to take one for the team and lead a kamikaze rush into a bombsite. I can go on for quite a bit on how to 'honourably' play Counter-strike, but I'll leave some points for other people. Just two more things though: 1. It's wrong to point fingers. (Though, sorry, Fran, Vovik, he's got you pegged. Except for the rudeness, I've never seen that.) 2. If it's just a game, why are you so upset?
  18. Yeah, I remember it was longer before. I wasn't sure if it was 10 seconds, though, cause I couldn't help but notice being bought up and ready to go with 6-5 seconds left on hold time. That's why I made the poll just in case - It's mostly me noticing it, I think. b-4-3 b-6-2 sometimes b-6-6 and b-6-4 ....3 seconds of buying for me. Anyway, by the looks of it, a medium of 6 looks good. This is all of course, a request because now I know why it's so high.
  19. Hey guys, since DWP came out, we raised the hold time to 10 secs. But now, since that's gone, 10 seconds hold time is WAY WAAAAYYY too much. I didn't know if this was a decision to keep it that long, or if it has just been ignored until now, that's why I created a poll. I personally think 3 seconds is a good time. It's good to have such a short time, so that fast-buyers-fast-rushers can grab P90s and the not and charge spawns to catch people off guard. Anyway, just thought I'd bring this up.
  20. Gears of War is good. Probably is the best fps right now. I played the campagin at a friend's house, we sat and beat it in one sitting on co-op cause he didnt want to lend me his XBox. It's not fair to compare a top-end game on a console with 1-year of experience to a launch title though. I haven't played resisstance, but I haven't heard anything exceptional about it either. I can't wait to play MotorStorm. It's out soon.
  21. I've had a few of those, with people leaving comps and someone else hops on without logging out of MSN. It can actually be quite frustrating.
  22. http://www.games.net/features/106982_1.shtml I was surfing the web and found this article, as well as a few other top 10 things (see right of page.) I like this idea. I agree with the lightnning scarabs from diablo 2 - on hell mode, they'd waste just about everybody, and they were immune to ice, making most sorcs useless. Then you'd have amazons shooting them repeatedly and wiping out the whole party. Then there was the maggot lair, where noobies would block you, or weak, non-damage dealing chars would get in front and take forever to kill stuff. The medusa heads drive me nuts too. In that same category are the birds from the original Ninja Gaiden. I don't see how barnacles were a problem, they're easy to kill/avoid. Devil May cry 3 gave me a lot of frustration, but also was a lot of fun. Though, I think 2 games take the cake - Contra: Shattered Soldier, trying to get S-rank and blowing it on the last stage!!! (OMGGGGGGGGGG!!!, painful memories)) (All it takes is one death through the whole game to lose it) and one time, playing World of Warcraft, I was trying to assemble a team during a standoff in battlegrounds, where they had our flag and we had theirs. I typed in all caps, swore like a ten year old, that our flag was in the same place, guarded by 4+ ppl and I couldn't take it alone (I really was the ONLY person trying to return our flag)--- it wa a 30 min stand off, let alone the length of that game. Oh, and of course, my jaw hits the floor everytime I unload a full clip point blank into someones spine and hit nothing but air. (Remember that high house map, anyone?)
