Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics: 29 have been accused of spousal abuse 7 have been arrested for fraud 19 have been accused of writing bad checks 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses 3 have done time for assault 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges (This is understandable) 8 have been arrested for shoplifting 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year Can you guess which organization this is? It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Being Malaysian, I speak Malay, so that's one. Taught and spoke british english all my life, so that's two. Being chinese, learnt mandarin, that's three. And i speak another 2 dialects from both sides of my parents. That makes 3 languages and 2 dialects. Picking up spanish and soon, hopefully, german. i suck in my spanish though.. can't understand nor speak for nuts..

Thanks for the advise, I wish i was there too. I know the effect of being in person and being on aim is very different but it was the best i could at the moment. Things would have been different if i would still have been in the states but i'm not.

I've just got an update from a real life friend of tristen that he's still in the hospital and he's alright. He'll be out in a week or so and hopefully, he'll feel much better then.

Those of you who has nothing good to say but insults, shut up. And i mean it. It won't prove that you're deaf dumb or blind if you don't say anything to this. This boy is going through some bad times and i'm sure almost everyone in this community knows that. I know what he did while talking to me and it scared the living hell out of me. If anyone of you wants to be a friend and help out, by all means, please do. Otherwise, leave him alone. It will not kill anyone of you to have one person less to pick on. Do not give girl advises whatsoever, Tristen doesn't need it. What he needs is attention and tender loving care that he has been very much lacking. He's not as bad as everyone thinks he is. Tristen is actually a very nice kid. Just a little confused with his course of life. So please, be a friend or buzz off and leave him alone. I know I'll be a friend and i hope someone else here will too.

All killer, first of all, thank you, but we've thought of that as well. Yes, indeed 9.33333 x 3 will equal to a sum of $30, BUT, that only in turn leave every guy with 9.3333 and not $10. Do you think it really make sense? I'm not flaming you whatsoever, but think it over.. It may not be as simple as you've just described.

Alright, my friends and i were getting rather sloshed over a fountain of wine last night when one of my friend came up with this question that got us sitting down for hours trying to come up with the perfect solution to the question. We even got to the point of actually cutting up papers and solving it physically rather than through theories that we have learnt. It's actually quite and old mathematical question/trick (whichever it is, it doesn't matter to me) and i'm sure many of you might have come across this question and answers to it. Even I have seen this question a long long time ago when i was still in my early teens. But here i am again, stupid now, trying to find as many brains as i can to help me solve this question. There are 3 guys, A, B, and C, each providing $10, which comes up to a total of $30 to buy a pizza. So they passed this $30 to another person, D to get the pizza. So, D went to buy the pizza and it only turned out to a total of $25 dollars instead of $30. Which means, there is $5 remaining. Out of this $5, D took $2 for his own expenses. Which leaves a total of $3 remaining. This $3 is then divided among A, B and C, which means all three of them gets $1. So, all in all, A, B and C only food out $9 each, since they were returned $1 each. So, the total amount from A, B, and C adds up to a total of $27 ( $9 x 3). The tip taken by D was $2, and when $27 is added up with $2, it only comes up to a total of $29, and not $30. What happened to the other dollar? I hope i made the question clear enough to be understood by all. For those of you who can't imagine it, draw it on a piece of paper and you'll get the picture clearly. Like i've said earlier, my friends and i cracked our head all night long to 'find' the remaining dollar. the answer may be very elementary, but hopefully we'll be able to find out. We came up with all sorts of theories and answers that doesn't make much sense and in the end, doesn't come up to the right total figure as well. (Trust accountants to count to the very last cent!) So, here i am, asking as many people as i can for the answer to this question of mine. My brain has failed me, I hope others will prevail where I've failed. Wedn

Everything is going on well here for me.. thanks Jiffy. But it's gonna be sometime before I am going to get back into the US, if at all. My cousin tried to enter the country just 3 days back only to be detained and quarantined in the airport then deported back here. The SARS is spreading like hay fire here though it's very much kept hush hush by the government. Heh.
