  1. I'll drive to Ohio if free beer is involved.
  2. I'll look into though. Like ash said, I know there is a reg hack out there somewhere that makes it work.
  3. Well then. Guess I missed the part where Fatty said both systems were XP Home. Sorry Fatty.
  4. There are a lot of technical associates who work with me who would rather get a virus then put Symantec products on their machines.
  5. START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > COMMUNICATIONS > REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION Both computers need to be on the same workgroup and you need to know the network name of the computer you are remote desktopping into. You also need to make sure that you know the user name you will be accessing on the other machine along with the password. Make sure the remote machine you are connecting to has at least one folder shared on the network too.
  6. Avengence - Nancy Kerrigan Trophy BWAHAHAHHAHAH ggkthxroflcopters.
  7. Good to hear that everything is up and working Ash!
  8. My system runs in the 40s too. Hes right about the g15 using a bunch of processes. I like PC-Cillin for antivirus needs.
  9. Is that supposed to be some sort of allusion?
  10. Hook up the old power supply to the unit and leave it connected like you had it before. Ie, whatever fans and such you had connected and disconnected, leave them that way. You want the most minimal amound of devices possible. Motherboard, HDD, ODD, Video card. Leave the side panel off of your case so everything stays cool. Once you do all that stuff start playing some games again. There is a chance that whatever problems you are having could be a result of a DOA power supply. Even with as good a track record as they have some are bound to be DOA.
  11. If you never had this problem before the update then you can pretty much assume that the issue is somehow related to either CS:S or the newest patch. Even with that being said, I would recommend getting the newest drivers for your video card and also getting all the available windows updates. If that doesn't yield any results, try third party drivers like Omega (if card is ATI). Next would be to turn off all your antiviruses, spyware, and firewalls and see if that yields any results. Going through these steps pretty much helps to rule out everything but CS:S. After you jump through all those hoops I would try reinstalling CS:S and see what happens.
  12. Got the same pings as I do in West with no choke or loss. Another great server to add to the list.
  13. Single malt scotch. But that doesnt count. I would say for "other" it would also qualify energy drinks like Red Bull and Monster.
  14. The two of you going back and forth has been the funniest thing I have seen on the forums since I joined.
  15. WELCOME ABOARD! It is about time you joined!
  16. ZipZoomFly has 250gb Sata 3gbs NCG Seagate 7200.9 Barracuda drives for $99
  17. Candy? Are you alluding to something here?
  18. Wow. She is going to owe you big time!
  19. Anything having to do with chat programs that she doesnt use, I saw some AIM and MSN processes in there, can be deleted. You can erase the Shutterfly and WildTangent stuff. Your best bet is to just google the processes and see what the webpages you get tell you about the processes. If it is something important like Windows or Norton then don't delete it. The capitalization of the .EXE does not matter.
  20. AHHHHHHHHHHHH I THINK THATS THE LINK FOR MAPLE STORY! I don't even want to click on it. So many people I know have been sucked hopelessly into it...heheheeheh. Yeah, we actually do play Mario Party a lot when we are together but we are looking for something that we can play together over the internet. The quality of the game is drawn into question a little bit too because shes got a Dell Inspiron 5150. The memory and processor in it is enough to support most games but the GeForce Go FX 5200 32MB doesn't cut it for most games.
  21. This particular card is selling for like $250 on eBay if no one on here is interested in buying it.
