i dont think ur correct. I never really ran cities, i let the ai do it, all i did was make my own army, and i can do that without a general so i dont think that is the problem. I knwo you cant create stuff if its undersiege.

You don't need a govenor in each place. You dont need them to make an army either. I have had captains of legionares become some of the greatest generals because they will eventually ask you to become part of your family. Just have an army in each place and it helps. I usually exterminate the populance after i conquer 4 or 5 places just because its easier to control them without having a general. It's easier to control the countries if you are sourounded by allies and there are no countries at war around you. If there are countries that </3 you you should put a general in that city. Makes it easier to defend and keep the citizens from revolting against your control.

EverQuest knows from experience the hardest thing about a MMorpg is the pvp aspect. They are planning to release around the same time as WoW. To develop a pvp system that wont need to be updated everyday for a few months is going to be hard to do in a months time. I believe like soul said after awhile they will make one on demand, but it is going to be tested over and over so that they dont look foolish like many other games have such as SWG.

I stopped doing the senate missions after awhile. Just stopped building ships so i could no longer do the blockade missions. But i had the most people popularity. And it came up a few times that the senate felt threatened by me and the popularity of the mob. But I got kicked out of the senate after i refussed to commite suicide with my faction leader. So rome got captured by me. Then so did the rest of italy. Took a little while to do all this about 15 or 16 hours combined i think between the two days.

I think i am going to buy it today after hockey, looks pretty cool.

1. Economy is still messed up. Credits are like water. Worth just about nothing. It costs less for weapons then it does for stuff to make a rug (cant do anything but walk on it in ur house). 2. Content. There is a little more content, some more challenging things in the game. But still no big quests like EverQuest. 3. Factions. Imps will always be dominate. And it should be that way since they have money and influence over planets. History has proven that rebellions are always overpowered, but its their heart and willpower that prevails. Rebels are getting a lot stronger in the pvp aspect, and a few clans are giving the imps a hard time. I am starting to see more overt rebels running around now, and a lot more covert imperials. 4. Still really repetive if you are "grinding". Most of the game you are doing that. But the freinds that you are playing with on Lowca help to keep you away from grinding somewhat. 5. A lot of the open space is filled with towns and harvestors. I also bought the game when it first came out, and I played until the first patch and then decided to cancel my account because they nerfed everything and added nothing. I started playing again when DoH and DLM came and it was a lot more enjoyable. It's a whole different enviroment when you can hang out with people you know instead of hunting by yourself.

I remember playing the frogger game for attari, but i never actually got into video games until Techno Bowl for nintendo. Thats when i was hooked on the console

On another note, we’ve almost nailed down the final number of CD’s (or DVD’s) for the retail box. It’s looking like EQ II is going to ship on between 9 and 10 CD’s or 2 DVD’s. ... thats a lot of content.

The main difference I see between WoW and EQ2 is the history and the future. WoW is based around strategy games (starcraft warcraft). I think it's going to be a lot like Shadowbane. (PVP). They made the two races so that they cannot be guilded or fight together. And that whenever you see someone of the different race you are allowed to attack them. ( horde vs alliance ) Thats all good for the pvp'rs and I might buy it just to build a character and go around slaying innocent alliance members. But 6 months to a year from the release of the game.... what then?? You cant do much with just alliance members. It's kind of like SWG, what do you do? I think it will be a big release but after 6 to 12 months it will lose 50% of its people from bordom. EverQuest 2 on the other hand has had experience. EverQuest has been running strong for over 5 years. They know what they need to do to keep people interested in the game and know how to do it. And with an "idea" like EverQuest 2 where everything is fantasy and there are no rules like in SWG and WoW ( following storybook rules) they can do anything. This game will be around for 3 to 4 years until someone else can make another big game to take it out. I am going to buy both maybe.. depends on when WoW is released compared to EQ2. If they are both in same month I'll just skip WoW for now.

DOH Dominates MCC3 lol MCC was so much fun. Way before Cal and all that other crap.

Its quite comical when I get pulled over. They ask for my license and insurance and find out that my license is expired and out-of-state. Then they ask to see my other id and usually just tell me to slow down lol. As long as you aren't around the Military base the cops are pretty cool. But around the base they are real #@#@#!@$# to military people.

How many people have this game pre-ordered? I want to know what server and race to play to be with all you guys. Knowing people in game make it more enjoyable.

You guys should try to kill the hell hounds and make armor of destruction. Get a big group together.

I am running two 74 gig raptors and i can notice the difference in speed compared to one 7200rpm hd.

I was just visiting a site and this window popped up saying memory dump ... 30% complete and it kept going up. I alt ctrl del and ended all ie windows. But when i did i had all kinds of spyware installed. I got rid of most of it, but there is 3 or 4 toolbars on my ie that wont go away and windows always popup when in am browsing the web. Anyone have anything that will help cure this crap? I dont really wanna reformatt.

I have a feeling if WoW is released before EQ2 which will pretty much happen, it will end up killing 40% of EQ2 profit for atleast 4 to 5 months. I am going to buy whatever one comes out first and play it until i am bored with it then if i am still in the mood to play mmorpg i will play the other one.

I made a mage he is level 13 i think. i can kill stuff in 2 hits with him already so its cool.
