  1. Thanks ZD. I found this one thru the link you posted above. It looks quite promising. Think I'll download it and try it when I get my internet working again.
  2. Thanks guys. ZD, I was planning on the limited user account. She certainly doesn't need admin. I thought you could use the Windows XP Firewall to restrict access to only certain websites. IE: ones you put in the allowed section. Is this not the case? Haven't been able to test this theory as my internet and phone has been down for 2 days now. (posting at work). AT&T field techs are currently on my bad side atm.
  3. Need some parental control software to use on my daughters pc. Basically I want to lock it down and only give her access to a couple of sites. She will not have IM or anything like that. Can this be done somehow thru XP Home or do I need some additional software?
  4. Again, tookey, limbcutter you really don't need to be posting here. I asked both of you last night to stay out of it. I realize that Norg is/was part of the s4h clan. But this is his mess to straighten out. To All, if you weren't involved in the situation you have no business posting in the "got banned" forums.
  5. I can see this ban lasting a while. Nice attitudes.
  6. Are you saying that a computer connected straight to the router will have an IP address in the 100s and will connect to the Internet fine but that same computer connected through the switch will have an IP address in the 50s and will not connect at all? And either way a computer is connected, it can see the other machines behind the Linksys? Yes that was happening last night. This morning it appears that all ip's are in the 100's, with the ones coming off the switch starting at 150. And anything on the switch will not connect to the internet, but I can see all other pc's on my network that are connected directly to the linksys router. I can even download files from them. 1) Can you gain access to a machine if one is on the switch and the other is directly on the firewall? Not sure what you mean by firewall. Don't have any turned on atm 2) Are the first three octets of the IP address always the same? Yes first three octets are the same 3) What's the model of the Linksys router? Is this a new router, or did your old router manage to survive? Brand new I just bought it last night. Linksys WRT54GS. Old router is in a straight jacket in the corner, doing funny things 4) Have you tried plugging the switch into other ports / plugging computers into the same port the switch wasn't working in? Yes same results One other thing I have noticed this morning. Anything plugged into the switch does NOT show the default gateway. Like it's not being assigned. Whereas anything connected directly to the router via hardwire or wireless will show the default gateway. NVM, the above issue has now remedy the problem. I released and renewed the ip and now all works.
  7. All pc's connect fine when not going thru the switch. Remove switch I can hit the internet on any of the pc's. I've rebooted pc's, switch, router. Basically everything. (Figured you would know I tried all the basic stuff ) I think I've narrowed it down some, Router starts ip's at 100, Switch starts ip's at 50. I'm trying to figure out how I can log into the switch and change the values of where it starts assigning ip's. Problem is the d-link switch came with crappy documentation. And nothing in there tells how to log into the thing. Say's it's a plug and go type deal. I really don't want to change the settings in the router as I've other things that operate off these higher ip's. The model # of the switch is DES-1105.
  8. Due to a nasty storm that blew thru last night I've had to replace my wireless router and a hub I had. Couldn't find a hub at BestBuy so I purchased a D-link switch. Here's my issue: I plug the d-link switch into an open port on the linksys router. They appear to sync up. I'm able to get files off of other pc's on my network and my NAS drive. Problem is, I can't get out on the internet. Any and all help is appreciated.

  10. Where would that forum be located? I can't seem to find it.
  11. I've done that. It still comes back after you reboot.
  12. My mom's laptop has the murlo trojan on it. Found it thru using a program called Xoftspy. It removes it, but when you re-boot the pc it comes back.
  13. Immut just crashed. Doesn't appear to be coming back.
  14. yeah, but it keeps laggin sj
  15. Can we get Aim Lab back to gun game please. Also DWP is atm.
  16. Retro is dead. Just logged in to find it this way.

    I'm back!

Duma, any bike can kill you. I would have to say you would be fine learning to ride on a bike like mine. It handles extremely well. And it's light so it's not a chore to move/position it.

    I'm back!

Welcome back Moz, good to see you. I've been riding my "K-Rod"(actually it's a Hyosung GV650) since buying it in December. I've put 950 miles on it so far. And we've been up near 80 all this past week. And the coming week looks the same.
  19. When I had Roadrunner thru TWC, it was down quite a bit. Got to be pretty frustrating. I've had AT&T DSL for a couple of years now. The only time I've lost service is when we had a power outage(very rare). BTW you can sign up for dsl without a service contract but you will pay about $10 more a month for it. Just a thought if you want to try before you buy type deal.
  20. Hang tight Lost. I need to find some sites that I had that will help you out. I have a similar pda (hp forget model #) and the information I had was very helpful in straightening out a few things.
  21. The only thing I can think of, would be my constantly putting a bullet in your head. I too enjoyed the running commentary from Dirtybird. He had me laughing several times. Sorry Dirty, I wasn't laughing at you. I was laughing with you.
  22. Come near me again, and I'll awp you other big toe off
  23. It's on right now. They just did a piece on Fatal!ty. It was interesting.
  24. Can we get the bots reactivated on DM. They worked fine in the past. And without them, we aren't drawing anyone into play.
