  1. none, the other 2 guys had the shovels
  2. Shop class? Cuz if this was for Woods 101, then you shoulda just taken a piece of string, laid it on your template, then stretched it across your tape measure. You made me bust out Mathematica. Goof. Actually, Theatre Design Seminar. Building 1/4 scale models of set pieces with nothing to actually base anything off of but the picture in our heads. (I had to draft out the ground plan and then create the pieces to put in it. all in all about a 12 hour job - the reading and re-reading of the play) I eventually ended up making something that seemed a little big to me but should also be able to hide an entire person in (which was kind of the idea when you're designing the set for a production of The Front Page. Besides, when a person is interested in learning it shouldn't be begrudgingly provided. Ring
  3. I'm translating this as "The project was due an hour ago, so I'm hosed since no one came up with the answer in the middle of the night. But thanks for playing, guys." Actually quite the opposite. I turned it in about 2 hours ago with the item I was asking the question about finished. The reason I posted it in the first place was because I was massively sleep deprived and couldn't think of what I needed. I ended up using trial and error to figure out how large I needed the roll part of my roll top desk to be. Thanks to everyone helping out. Even though I figured it out in a way that was really pretty easy I always like to know the math in doing things. Ring
  4. in quick answer to the questions asked <xy is a right angle/ x and y are perpendicular/ the exterior angle of xy is 270 I'm looking for the equation that spits out the arc length of z Also, it no longer really matters but now I want to know for future reference Ring
  5. I"m pulling an all-nighter tonight to finish up a project and I can't remember an equation that I need. if you take a right triangle base and draw an arc between the two legs at their ends how do you find the length of the arc. in my case (and in the example provided) I have x = 5 and y = 3 and I'm trying to find z might want to note that the numbers provided are arbitrary and I'm trying to get this info so I can better make a scale replica of a roll top desk.
  6. Wasn't that the plot of Resident Evil: Degeneration? I woudn't know, never seen it. Ring
  7. My plan is to start the zombie uprising and leverage the cure I've already developed for world domination. Ring
  8. Mini_Me, g@!den, and.... well..... me! Happy Birthday!
  9. I don't really need this mouse for my gamin purposes, my current mouse does the trick just fine. I'm looking to get a wireless so I can stretch out on my bed and watch movies (My computer faces my bed you see) I need a mouse with a pretty good range (I estimate about 10 feet from where I'd be to the usb port I'd plug the mouse into is) It needs to be something with a usb dongle because my computer doesn't have bluetooth. Money shouldn't be that big an issue. all the mice I've looked at already would be in my price range. Any ideas?
  10. you, my friend have far too much time on your hands Ring
  11. Pretty sure it's still coming out march 16 Ring
  12. # 593 "best noob ever!1" STEAM_0:1:22310363 20:46 214 0 active Repeatedly avoided filter, was warned and had various punishments but didn't stop. I warned him that one more time would get a ban (though I was only going to give an hour) he avoided filter one more time and then logged off. Ring
  13. This is just getting obscene if this doesn't calm down a bit I'm going to request that this topic be either deleted or locked...

  16. ResNet appears to have fixed my connectivity problem (for the time being at least) and as such I'll be able to actually play CS YAY!!
  17. right on, especially a good Flowery Orange Pekoe (I'm not making fun I'm agreeing in a funny way) Ring
  18. Actually I had downloaded VLC on your recommendation and just didn't get anything said about it until after dweezle had also spoken up Ring
  19. Just installed and tried VLC worked fine. I did check nVidia's forums etc and got jack squat. I think the problem may have occured because I didn't actually uninstall the old drivers I just overwrote with the new ones. I should probably figure out how to do that in the future. (my new GPU has a different arcitecture from my old one I think)
  20. Unfortunately I have none as I just recently upgraded my GPU. The first time I tried it was with the oldest drivers I've got.
  21. Ok, as some people might know I recently upgraded my graphics card from an nVidia GeForce 7300 LE to a GeForce 9600 GT and things have been going great.... or so I though My problem arises when I attempt to watch a DVD on my computer (something that I used to do quite regularly) The program I use, Sonic CinePlayer, starts up just fine yet if I click on play and wait just a little as if it were attempting to actually play the DVD I get the Blue Screen of Death and an error message that makes absolutely no sense to me. I've written down everything that I think is important but maybe I've missed something Error message goes something like this NV4_disp.dll : Address bf07e900 base at bf012000, Date stamp 491b68ff After I get all this I have to restart my computer and after a while it tells me that I've recovered from a serious problem (well duh, I did get the BSOD) and I have the option of pulling up a further error log and also sending my problem to Microsoft. I'm stumped as to what I should try at this point. I've tried upgrading my drivers. updating the program that runs my dvds trying a program that I installed off of one of my dvds (same problem by the way) and everything. Watching movies was one of the ways that I stayed sane last semester and I'm not exactly looking forward to not being able to use my computer as a media center like I used to. Anyone got any suggestions/questions that can help me fix this mess? Please?? Ring
  22. They really do, especially when smoked over cherry wood. It's good eatin Ring
  23. After about a year and a half of asking questions on these forums about various hardware concerns I have had I've finally upgraded my box. I went from a Dell 400W PSU to a BFG 800W and from an nVidia 7300 LE to an overclocked nVidia 9600 GT The result of these two upgrades is that I can now run every game I own (with the exception of Portal for come reason) on high settings without hickups and a higher fps than I was getting on my old card at lower settings I would really like to thank everyone who answered all my newbish questions about hardware whatnot, especially Preacher, Dweezle, Samurai Nightling, and Dark Archon. I realize that it might have been exasperating for all of you to answer the same questions over and over again from the same person. I'll be kind and give you guys a breather before I start asking RAM questions Thanks again, Ring
