  6. well summarized smith. you hit a lot of broad topics right on the head. I think the greatest story of heroism of 9/11 is the passengers of the 4th hijacked airplane, the ones that stormed the cabin with full intention of bringing about their own deaths for the sole purpose of protecting washington D.C... thats a heartwrenching and inspirational tale if i ever heard one.
  7. i try not to let the events surrounding 9/11 affect me to much. I am fortunate, the tragedy is not my own. I did not experience it first hand. None of my loved ones were hurt or killed or threatened. The only time in which 9/11 was MY disaster was for 4 hours in school when I was completely unsure of the nature of the attacks, or the status of my older sister (attending school at NYU) Once I learned that all my loved ones were safe and sound, I was no longer distressed or saddened. For me to act devastated at this seems to me like an insult to those who were actually effected directly by the tragedy. So for me, today was a day of peace and solace. I spent today talking to many old friends and relatives who I do not communicate with nearly as much as I wish I did. I spent today feeling fortunate to live in such a fantastic country, surrounded by beacons of bravery and nobility in a turbulent world. But most of all, I spent today hoping that those who were impacted by 9/11 feel comfortable, safe, and at peace on the anniversary of a day when THEIR lives changed. 9/11 is not my tragedy. I do not pretend that it is. It will forever belong to the people who lived it first hand
  8. im working on a collection of computer things to commemorate 9/11... if anyone else finds stuff like this please let me know.
  9. our high school reinstated the Pledge this year. However, it is left optional, but the vast majority of the people partake, with only the "Controversial for the sake of controversy" people remaining seated.

    Tattle Tales

The real offense is calling them a hacker in the first place. See my post please. http://www.gamrs.co/forums/in...t=30entry3537
  16. OK everyone hush and listen.... We (Mmmm) are here for one purpose only as admins... to try to make it so all of our peeps can have a fun game of CS with friends without worrying about all the dumb crap that happens in the majority of CS servers... Insulting, pointless, team-play-less games with practically zero admin presence. Now, onto the point at hand... Making blatant, unfounded accusations of someone hacking is NOT SALUTARY to the game! Is it?! How does that help anyone have a good time. At all? Period? Yes, hackers are a problem in CS today, but there is a correct way to go about handling them. My judgement is flawed on this matter, and i accept that, so i do it right: Record several demos, post them for the analyzation of the Mmmm community, and listen to what people tell you. Simply coming out on your own unfounded opinion and accusing someone makes them unhappy, makes everyone else suspicious, and generally makes the server more unpleasant. The first time i saw someone play with headphones and EAX, i was literally 100% sure that he was hacking (i think it was adambomb ) It just goes to show you that its easy to be wrong on this matter. Bottom line: Nobody has ANY excuse for just accusing someone of hacking for no reason without undergoing the due process... Innocent until proven guilty. It ties in with our zero tolerance for cries of "BS", its just the things frustrated, pwned gamers do to cast aspersions upon their fellow Counter Strikers, and it will not be smiled upon, starting now.
