  1. Well, we'll see if you still feel that way after I have been here awhile.
  2. Nice SwOOp, you invite him to the server then you don't warn him about the anti-flood...classic.
  3. SwOOp, does this mean everything got squared up with CJ?
  4. I found a couple of links doing a Google-search that shows that this error seems to be fairly common (although I have installed HL/CS quite a number of times and have never seen the error). The suggested "solutions" were to do one of the following. 1) Keep hitting retry and eventually it should finally finish...maybe 2) If you have the hard drive space, copy the whole CD over to your computer and install it from there 3) If you bought the game (i.e., didn't warez it), try returning it to the store for a new one. Here are the best 2 links I found. http://www.newbie.org/help/messages/1110.html (First CS reference is about 1/3 of the way down) http://csforever.daygamer.com/csinfo.php?page=faq (3rd question listed)
  5. IIRC, Vin Diesel's red car was a Mazda RX-7. My buddy used to have one before he got hit by an off-duty cop who didn't yield when he should have. My buddy's car (old site) I liked FatF but thought the storyline/plot was extremely weak. I wasn't too disappointed though cuz I figured that going into it...I still bought the DVD. xXx was also another weak plotted film...but again, I expected that. I bought this one primarly because I am a Diesel fan and I knew it would have some decent action in it. Now, if you want to see another weak-plotted Vin Diesel film that still had enough going for it to merit me purchasing it...check out "Knockaround Guys". I think I bought this one soley based on the fight scene in the bar.
  6. Hehe, Fatty, ever the teacher. On our old forum, any www.blah.com would automagically be converted to a hyperlink.

LOL, well, I used to be the Sys. Admin. for a dept of about 70 people who more or less just did data entry. About 70% of my work was User Support. I would get questions like "Why is my tab key switching between programs?". I went to their desk, smashed the Alt key to crunch up the cookie pieces that had fallen in there and they were happy again.
  8. I like all kinds except country (and I can stand some of the less country country) but don't really listen to much because, being a musician of sorts, when I am "listening" I like to give my full attention to it. I am not the kind of person who could have it going in the background and not have it distract me cuz I would want to stop and listen. Anyway, probably my current favorite style is alternative (does that really mean anything anymore since "alternative" is now mainstream contemporary?). Don't know if that tells you anything. I just like a good grooving song with a driving beat and a good hook. If I am driving down the road and catch my head bobbing to the beat...it is a good song.

If you think I have been here long enough for such a role Fatty, then sign me up. I always like to do do what I can to help people out.
  10. SPAM = Not Real Meat SwOOp, I am doing my best to get out of n00b status without doing too much spamming...don't want to get a reputation you know.
  11. Nope, not just you. All I see is trop and merit.
  12. Did you ever sell it? I am kind of curious what you got for her besides the fun experience of actually doing it your self (I know very little about cars but would like to restore an old mustang sometime in my life).

    Alcohol

I have heard "NON"s also referred to as "tea-tottlers".

    Alcohol

I don't see anything wrong with drinking now and then. But one must remember that what is ok for one person is not ok for another because 1) alcohol affects each person differently and 2) Alcoholism is a genetic disposition. I had the rare drink when in high school (could probably count them all on one hand) because my dad is an alcoholic. He has been sober for 30 years now but I know when he did drink he was mean and belligerent (wait, now that I think about it...he still has those tendencies...hmmmm ) and I didn't want to become like that. Also, I am a lippy person and I didn't want to get drunk and bust on the wrong person. Also, I never needed alcohol to have a good time. I preferred to remember my good times the next day instead of just praying to the porcelain god.

Oooooo, just found out a glorious thing...but I will try not to abuse it. SwOOp, the flood control on this forum is only 30 seconds. W00T W00T!! Hehe, the flood control on our old forum had got pushed to as much as 85 seconds I believe because of misuse.
  16. That was one of the words that always tripped me up in grade school...I never knew when to end it....banananana...
  17. A lift to the LAN? Heck, we could just have the LAN in that thing....the LANabego!!
  18. Well, I didn't actually play in any "organized" sports in high school. I was a band geek and it took up all my time. I did play tennis regularly with a couple friends and went to the varsity tennis tryouts on day one but the schedule conflicted with band so I didn't go to anymore. I also enjoyed (and still do) a good pickup B-Ball game.

Sadly, it was also shut down when the server got nixed.
  20. Hmm, the little Asian kid in front? Actually, I would choose the guy on the far left.
