how hott? O.o well, i'll probably get an aftermarket cooler soon so probably get it down some more, hopefully around 15-20 idle...it idles at 35 right nowv

jus used some alcohol and a cloth....but i managed to fix it =) seemed it had a abit more of paste than needed. so i cleaned and reapplied and it went down by 20dgrs ...

okay, sry for the many post ive been putting up but; the rest of my stuff finally came in yesterday...so decided to assembly it and get it working. problem is, or IF it is one, my cpu temp is too high...IDLE temp Im gettin is 53-57 then when I play Source, it goes up to 64-67. is it suppoe to be that high or did i messed up on something? cpu is the I7 920 btw. ; using the cooler that came with it for now. also used the arctic mx-2 thermal paste...and yes, i did take out the stock paste off the cooler before I used the antec. anyone kno why its like that? EDIT***and the specs are evga x58sli mobo i7 920 , using the stock cooler nvidia gtx260 using antec 900 two case and using the stock fans plus an extra antec fan for the side panel

wont there be an upgrade option from vista to W7 when it comes out anyways? i'll probably jus stick with the vista for, can always get rid of it later when W7 comes out.

i already bought the windows vista 64bit so imma be using that for now. unless W7 is really worth upgrading too later on, then possibly an upgrade

YES, windows 7 has all the functionality of xp pro and all the features of Vista and none of the slow downs. so yea, looked up on windows 7 and seems it wont be comin out till later this year. hmmm i'll probably jus upgrade OS later on, lol dont wanna wait on W7 to get it up & running.

okay, all my parts finally came in, and i wanna modify my case; to add some fans and for cable management, whats the best way to cleanly drill holes in the case or what do ya recommend i use? thnx again, -sedah

awesome, so imma jus go ahead and return back the 750w and buy the 850w. only 10$ diff. and imma jus stick with the gtx260

yea, kno what ya mean, was plannin to buy the gtx285 in the first place but didnt want to spend the extra money just yet. thats why i went for the lower gtx260 but ya think the gtx260 would be able to run crysis at high settings cuz one of the reason i wanna build this cuz of that game, and fallout 3 which is waitin to be played lol... i already bought both of em

so yea, ive been playin on my laptop the past months cuz my old gaming desktop retired, mobo burned and video card stopped working so I ended up just takin them apart and sellin them so now jus lookin to build another one, so seeing if its worth the build. following specs so far: -Intel i7 920 [already paid for cuz found a great deal for $220] -Evga Intel x58 atx a1 [already paid for as well, was on sale =)] -Nvidia GTX260 [buyin another one when time comes] so x2 -CORSAIR XMS3 6GB DDR3 -CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX [already paid for as well] BTW is this enought to power up 2xGTX260 in the long run? or should I sell this and buy the 850? -Antec 900 Two -Asus VH226H Monitor 22.5 -Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit -Western Digital Caviar 500gb everything adds up to about 1300+ been debating if its worth the build or not so seein your outputs. [if not imma jus sell the parts] and if so, suggest if I should replace any parts [that i havent bought yet... yea?] =) OR if any of you'll have any of that part for sale

I jus read somewhere that the lens could be used as a landscape lens as well for people with budgets, so I wanna test it out and see before I throw down 500$+ on a wide angle lens but dont want to do that jus yet, trying to get all my parts for the new build first. So, might as well check this out and see how it goes from there ya kno what I mean.

As ya'll know there's a new lens coming out for Nikon Users, and mainly focused for DX users, the new "AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G" and the great news is, its $200!, how great is that? awesome price indeed! It should be out in other locations by now but cant get ahold of them in my locations[fl.lauderdale] just yet, so seeing if anyone here actually got ahold of them... If so, how is it and is it worth buying? Im leaning towards buying this lens but already have a 50mm 1.4D Reason I want this lens is, its a tad bit wider and can use this as a landscape lens as well unlike the 50mm. thanx in advance, -Sedah

hmm couple days ago it would only come up to 900 some servers for me as well but earlier today came up to 5000 and all the .gc servers showed up

browsed the server list earlier today and saw retro/deathmatch & the private match server on the public servers list. explaines the new names lately

yea i've noticed that too, seems its been slowing down lately, probably cuz finals are here and such. usually i see new people but i end up leaving cuz they either end up tk'ing and such.

yea i loved dof/bokehs, and love wide angles, im waiting for a new lens to come in. :: 50mm f/1.4 fave lens for now I usually try to picture something out in my mind to how i want the pictures to turn out, then when that comes in I look for objects/subjects to take pics of and see if I can come out with the result I thought of. and sometimes I do take random shots, I mean, who doesnt right? and sometimes I end up liking them.
