  1. He's got a couple of new projects as well. The Les Claypool Frog Brigade and Oysterhead (With Trey Anastasio from Phish and Stewart Copeland of the Police). Oysterhead is mainly fronted by Les, and he does some really wicked bass stuff with them. I haven't heard the Frog Brigade yet, but I know Sheepnutz is going to see them in May. I may have to check it out.
  2. Hrmmm...the way I heard it, in an interview with Les, was that he just didn't feel like he fit in with them, and felt like he needed to do his own thing. I'll try to dig up the interview. I could be wrong too, it happens quite frequently
  3. That price seems way off for the RAM. You can get PC2700 for about $50 for 512 MB. I will say that Muskin puts out a quality product though. BTW, I have mushkin case badge I won at a LAN, If you want to throw it on your box, pm me and I'll send it to you.
  4. I am running an SIS chipset. It is rock solid, and smokes. Give us a little more detail on mobo requiremnts, like do you want Serial ATA? Integrated sound? RAM type? Ethernet? RAID? I use a SoYo P4S DRAGON Ultra. It's a great board, the 5.1 integrated sound is awesome, and the onboard RAID is a nice addition too.
  5. Can anyone post a decent freeware editor I can use. I have been working on a bunch of custom animation, and would like to incorporate it into a cs movie, but the demo version of the software I dl'ed was terrible.
  6. That shaguar movie was unbelievable! That kid is awesome.
  7. Oh Hell yeah, Green Day, Blink 182, Good Charlotte, and Sum 41. Before your head explodes, I was joking. I systematically hate all of the aforementioned bands. I do, however, dig Rancid, Sex Pistols, the Ramones, and some other old school punk bands. Gimme the names of some newer punk bands, cuz I don't know of any (read as I am ignorant about new punk bands), and I would like to check out the scene. OH, I had to edit to add Dead Kennedys to that list.

  9. That's weird, if you'd have asked me to pick out Dweez, I would have picked the same guy
  10. Real Name: James Everybody calls me Dave Family calls me Dude Friends call me Big Papa or Bo (Short for BoShek, which was my first CS name) I got the name Big Papa cuz I'm big, and I started college in a freshman dorm when I was 21, so I was by far the oldest guy on our floor. Dave - well, my middle name is david, and I can't stand being called James, so Dave it is

    Alcohol

I used to drink a lot, for about 6 months, I drank a liter of bourbon every night, then went to vodka, then to beer, back to bourbon, and even dabbled in gin for a few months. I just grew out of it. Decided I didn't really dig it any more and stopped. I might have a six pack in a month now. I guess my early college/late high school years were just my time to get it out of my system.
  12. Yeah, I kinda figgered, but "kid" still seemed appropriate
  13. Little Feat...true, great band. Might have to queue up a little Rad Gumbo.
  14. Yep, my roommate (no comments from you Dweez ) says he is having a lot of problems in CS with the new ATI drivers.
  15. I have Spiral Wrap (similar to what Swoop was talking about earlier. It is UV reactive (not gonna find that at Radio Shack) and I got it from caseetc.com They have since been purchased by directron.com, but the spiral wrap can still be purchased here. If you have any other case modding questions, feel free to ask. I did all the cutting, etc... to mine, and some others. BTW, that is my case in the first link.
  16. B4 you scrap the 9700, lemme tell you that I just had my GeForce4 Ti4600 go belly up on me. No particular reason, just went out after a restart. I am opting for a 9700 pro. I'll let you know if I see any noticeable difference.
  17. One of the most unique voices albeit by a group, is Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I have listened to them for years, and I am glad they have risen above Paul Simon's backup band to doing lifesavers commercials. Seriously, they are a great group carrying on traditional African singing styles. Sublime - they just had a knack (nack? I'll defer) for making songs that were incredible. Bob Marley - One of the most talented human beings that ever lived. Bob Dylan - Come on, it's Bob Dylan Some more - Lou Reed, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Jimi, the Ramones - all pioneers, all extremely talented. Rage (I despise audioslave, but I don't want to start an argument so I'll leave it there) and Pantera, for being hard when hard stopped being "cool." I'm sure I'll kick myself for leaving a lot of people out, but that's my list for now.
  18. I listened to them a long time ago, couldn't get into them. Thanks for posting, I'll give them another listen.
  19. I wrestled, played football, baseball, a little hockey when I was young, and was also in the band. I will definitely have to post a football pic next to a pic of me today. It's such a huge difference it makes me chuckle just thinking about it.
