  1. Shaft please don't ever have a production company or movie studio. Its people like you who make movies like "Batman and Robin"
  2. I will back up sj and geek. Oldboy is a must watch action/drama flick. To pique your curiosity: the killer at VaTech mimiced the poses from the poster of this movie in some of his photographs he sent to police. Oh, and if you haven't seen Will Smith in Six Degrees of Seperation, you must see it. It is based off a play by Tom Stoppard, so you know it's going to be good. Also, this isn't the Will Smith, we grew up with. It's a glimplse of the actor we see later in Ali and Pursuit of Happyness. It has a star studded cast with Stockard Channing, Donald Sutherland, and Ian McKellan. You won't be dissappointed.
  3. Michgan might actually be good again. Rodriguez is an amazing coach and the history and tradition at Michigan is one of the best in college football, add him to the mix and his ability to recruit. Michigan might have a chance to win the Big 10. But don't get too high off of a win against Florida. Yes, Tebow was the Heisman Trophy winner, but he was hurt. The Florida O line was young, an inexperienced qb running the O, and an inexperienced D. They managed to win 9 games, ONLY bc of the athletism of Tebow, a spread thats hard to stop, and Urban Meyer coaching. And besides, it wasn't a blow out win, only won 41-35.
  4. well, i would really like to sell this ps2 as a whole, and the n64 stuff as a whole. I looked up some prices on ebay and seems like i could get about 250-300 for all my ps2 stuff. so i'd like to try to sell it altogether before i break it up into pieces. for the n64, i think i can get about 75-80. so if anyone wants them, that's what i'll be offering. thanks for the help.
  5. so this is what I want to sell, how much should I be asking for (everything in mint condition)? PS2 Slim Silver (about 6 months old) Rock Band (the complete set) Guitar Hero 2 Guitar Hero 3: Legands of Rock Guitar Hero: Rock the 80's Guitar Hero wireless guitar DVD add-on + DVD remote Regular controller N64 4 controllers Goldeneye MarioKart + about 6 other games I don't play
  6. Didn't weigh myself this morning, but i feel a little heavier, probably gained a pound or two. But I did start lifting weights this week. I would love to keep this going, as least as much to keep track of overall progress and accountability. We should come up with a different spreadsheet, cause i'm not sure i'm going to be losing that much weight from here on out, but my waist size should be going down. I'd like to keep track of that. What do yall think?
  7. the movie was crap. 2/5 stars. ugly: script, plot, effects, and oh my the ridiculous ending bad: forced one-liners, pairie dogs, monkey action sequence good parts: harrison, shia, sand pit scene I am not a giant indy fan, but we all grew up with these films, and so I love them, too. That's why this movie was so sad. There wasn't enough problem solving, all the action sequences were weak, and i can't tell you how much i hate the ending. I mean, all the years, all the endless script revisions, and that's the best they came up with? I hate george lucas, and kind of speilberg and harrison for agreeing to do that film. ugh, garbage.
  8. you probably have to adjust your shot to accommodate to the new size of your body. Like your right elbow is probably getting away from your body too much because its used to being a little farther away.
  9. Playaa you are killin it, man! Keep on, keepin on! Forgot to weigh myself this monring, I'll post up tomorrow morning.
  10. i agree capt. that a healthy eating plan and a good workout regimen would be best. BUT I don't want to discourage anyone who is doing just one of these things. So maybe we could have 3 groups, the biggest loser, the biggest gainer, and the biggest awesome (a combo of the other two). What do you think?
  11. we went with the 850 and i was amazed with the small size of the camera, and the quality of the pics. And I love the IS. But i'm sure you will be happy with either the 850 or 870
  12. Hey DNA that is awesome man. Keep on , keepin on! I, unlike you, threw out all my clothes that didnt fit. I started at about a 42" waist and now I'm down to 37". It really feels great when I put on some jeans that I never needed a belt for, and now they fall off when I'm walking around. It's one of those really motivating reminders that keeps me going. Let's keep this up even after this thing is over. I would like to get rid of the chart we have now, and just have the guys who are serious on there. Also, I think a fun thing to keep track of is waist line. That way, when we start working out, we can measure fat loss, even when we gain back some muscle. Whaddya think? Can we do this? Can anyone help us/me with this?
  13. me and the wife took the camera out to a street fair and were really impressed with it. <swiftly kicks shoot in the junk and runs away like a little girl>
  14. <throws shoot's bricked camera at him as he runs to the corner>
  15. dark. i agree about spidey 2. BUT spidey 2 had some of the best action sequences in a comic book movie. That's what I really meant about being easily as good. But for overall action/acting and the fact that I had "eh" expectations for this movie, it blew me outta my seat. Just like the first Batman (with Jack). Hope you enjoyed it!
  16. i'm gonna say that it was easily as good as spidey 2, and i'd say the best comic movie since the first batman.
  17. back down to 204, but at least im maintaining. I'd love to see this through to the end of 08, Not necessarily a contest, but a group of serious guys that have been posting every week, encouraging and keeping people accountable. I also like people to not be ashamed if they gained back some weight to admit it. There's no judgment here. This group is responsible for helping me lose 20lbs. Just thinking about a Friday weigh in motivates me during the week. This is all about life style change, and I think we should keep it up as long as possible.
  18. and in my research i happened upon this from gizmodo: instant rebates up to $300 for Canon lenses and DSLR's
  19. Thanks everyone for the helpful replies! It really has made this descision alot easier. I talked it over with my wife and we will be purchasing the SD 850 or 870 this weekend. We came to this descision based on a few factors. One, we didn't really need a DSLR camera right now, it would have been nice, but not wise. Two, since it will be her camera, she wanted one that was a little more portable (we live in nyc and the amt you carry makes a big difference on quality of life). Third, we will definitely purchase a DSLR camera in the future, so I think she wants to spend more money on something nicer, instead of an entry level one. Again thanks again to Mav, NOFX, Shoot, Preach and Unclean. You guys are the best!
  20. Okay, thanks for all the great suggestions. Here is what I've gathered so far: This one...entry level DSLR Nikon OR This one...Canon SD850 or 870 What do you guys think of these two, or should I be going a different route?
  21. So my wife broke her old digital camera, which wasn't that old. But we bought it in St. Thomas on our honeymoon 2 years ago. I know absolutely zero about what makes a good digital camera. First consideration, price: We will be stimulating the economy and using some our gov't check for a new camera. I want to spend less than $200, but MIGHT be willing to go to $300, if there is a large jump in quality. Second, what she'll be using it for: She's an avid photographer, but it's only a hobby. She takes alot pictures of food , friends, and nature. Third and final consideration: Something that I would like to have in the camera, is being able to capture a nice motion shot. Something that I hate is the delay in digital cameras. Between the time i hit the button, to the time the actual flash goes off, the thing that i wanted to take a picture of, has moved. I want instintaneous picture taking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  22. I'll second what Preach said about Carnival. Not the best, choose another cruise line.
  23. Not too sure what the gas price is here in Brooklyn. I fill up about once every 2 months, if that. Usually someone will borrow my car, and fill up the tank for me when they return it. But I would guess filling up my tank would run about 60-70 dollars (premium gas). You guys need to move to an urban center, esp. you kruten. I lived in GA for 26 years and Pelham is WAAAAAY south GA. You ain't lying when you say, nothing happens down there. And for all you other folks I'd look into getting one of these bad boys: Aptera
  24. no exercise this week, so i went backwards. 205
