Essentially, you're just questing as usual and a message will pop up saying there's an event in the area. It will show up on your map. It somehow measures your participation in it and awards you a gold, silver, or bronze medal for it. Bad thing is, it repeats.... often. At least that's my take on it. As for as your personal story quest line, it uses instancing to keep you separate from gen pop while doing your own quest chain.

Oh, I'm sure its something I've screwed up. Would it matter than I'm running the x64 client?

Yeah, I've tried everything and it still won't authenticate. I'm just using my forum name as the user and putting the pass in the password field on the server setup.. Using that IP and port. It says server is available and that it connects, just that my username and password are incorrect and it can't authenticate. oh well.

Does this vent require usernames to be setup? I've never connected to this one before. I can connect to the vent test server, just not ours.

I thought we were using Muble for GW2? Oh, and apparently, I'm functionally dumb: Vent Message: Connected to server but unable to authenticate your login name and password.
