  1. Why do we not yet have a screenshot of all of Baloosh's diamonds on this thread? Maybe I need to go look at them, you know, to take a screenshot... yeah... for the thread and stuff...
  2. Just played a wonderful first round of No Mercy with Captain Fantasy. I think the screenshots say most of it. One part you won't see, is that Silveo was getting chained outside for at least 2-3 minutes, and I repeatedly asked those in the saferoom (zombiekiller + cap'n fantasy) to come back and help, but they refused. Eventually, the enemy team bought a tank, with the points they got off farming this way, which is when the rest of us ran to the saferoom and I took the screenshot. That's the context of the middle two images. Also, after I took the last screenshot, showing he swapped to the winning team, I asked him to return to his original team, and he would not do so. Normally, I wouldn't make a ban request, as I don't care about what people say/do so long as they're helping their team, and I think some people are banned a little too quickly, but this guy ignored like every, single, rule of the gcftw server in a two round period.
  3. I can understand where you're coming from Fenix, I mean that. I'm one of the people who often votes not to skip finales. However, most people really don't like the No Mercy finale, and it's normally up to survivors about whether or not there should be a skip, so I'm just sayin this doesn't seem like a bannable issue. No harm no foul, and most people want to move on in most cases. *shrugs* My 2 cents have been given, it's just up to the admins now I suppose. Good luck to JUSTICE!
  4. TL;DR: Admins have condoned this activity in the past in their situation, so I say a ban is unfair. Good luck to all those involved.
  5. If I may input my two cents on this: charger dodgeball on the helipad gets played all the time when admins are around. Knowing this, it seems unfair to ban these people for doing it. Moreover, when one team is behind so far they have no possibility of catching up, it is customary to skip the finale. However, when admins aren't around, that's not possible, and this basically seemed like their alternative. I mean, if 8/10 people were chill with it, and admins are normally chill with it, I don't see how a ban is justifiable for doing this on one finale. I know for certain that I've played dodgeball with Maestro and Tsunami around, at least, and I'm sure most of these people have too.
  6. If it matters to you, Regan, it's not aimbotting you're accused of. He thought he saw evidence of wallhacking while he was spec'ing you after a few people noted unusually "lucky" shots. *Shrugs* I hope justice prevails either way!
  7. I like the idea of simplifying sending points. Most times people are incapped it's the hardest part of the map so you have the least opportunity to send points anyways! Nevertheless, a lot of time people not sending points is just greed, not business. The clickable link isn't a bad idea, but there could be problems with capping it by their request. For example, if someone does ask for points via voice chat, then how do we manage how many they get? I also like the idea of just turning it into a chain thing via chat, if that's doable. One person types !np #, then the next only has to type !sp and it'll send them their request. *shrugs*
  8. It would be for the whole round (my thinking anyway) Like the map vote is now That would work, but then it wouldn't be useable to balance the teams like other people want. Still, though, I like voting more than using it one sidedly.
  9. Idc ! I will have my dragons !!! Come with us to the house of the Undying princess (aka Mad's place) Am I invited to this party??? No ! You deserve to be executed ! Well, that escalated quickly...
  10. Thanks for the info. guys. Stumbled onto this right before the server rejected me for updating
  11. Locust uses whine to admins... it's not very effective. Merman uses lay down the law... it's super effective! Locust has fainted.
  12. I'm not sure how you could fairly create a pathing vote. Seems to me that survivors would always vote yes, and all the infected would always vote no, or at least that's how it'd work out most of the time.
  13. Well, technically Direkt revived it... and a while before that so had someone else, but I'm too lazy to scroll and find out. *shrugs* Anyways, admins should probably close this, yeah?
  14. Screw going robin hood; let's keep the riches for ourselves!
  15. Avengers, you're not the only one thinking that way. I too have a jungle home/claim I chose solely for the view, and I'll be quite saddened if it ends up getting flattened. Only thing to do is claim as much of it as possible, I suppose.
  16. *Prays noone has burned down the jungle near his first claim* I'll have to go expand that later today.
  17. Happy birthday Maestro! We appreciate you and your hard work. In return, I made you a cake... it was delicious.
  18. ^ That's a great idea. I like that idea. +1. Just so long as people don't abuse it to save teammates
  19. I'll hug you all night long dude... I'm sorry, that was really weird, but I refuse to use my backspace key.
  20. The difference, Swat, is that it's hard to consider it griefing when the other team encourages it. I voted for going to the overhang in the first place, precisely because of what you just said. In fact, I was the one who went and found what I thought to be the safest non-safe-room place on the map. However, I wasn't going to go out and die with one or two people when the majority wished to play in the safe room. You're trying to play one-sided victim. Yes, it was wrong of us to take your fun away in the 4th round, but that was also the first round our team got to have any fun. Your team refused to help balance the teams; in fact, I remember being told something about how the auto-joiner put someone there and there was nothing they could do about it.... right.... fair.... Then, to ice the cake, your team only encouraged the behavior in the 5th round. I'm not saying what we did was right. It WASN'T. I'm saying that it's ridiculous that people LOVE pointing fingers so much that you're all refusing to accept any blame yourselves. I've admitted that what we did was wrong, but does stacking the teams, refusing to balance, and then encouraging what we did make you blameless? I think not. The thing is, I don't even particularly care about who was to blame; I'm just tired of is every issue on the server turning into a blame-game and wish we could go one campaign without people exploding on each other. Now, can we stop pointing fingers and just GO ENJOY THE DANG GAME, and make it fun for EVERYONE by just moving on, instead of turning this into a divided community because everyone wants to feel good about themselves?
  21. Swat, I understand that you were upset, that much was made obvious by Tsunami's reappearance and banning. However, my point is that you didn't talk to us about it. In the 5th round, the only time we really talked to your team was when someone, I honestly have no idea who it was, told us to send one person out to start the event.
  22. I really like this idea, but I'd obviously defer to people who know the game better than myself in implementing it. However, the part I don't think should be implemented is teleporting people who fall too far behind. If that happened, there would be a whole host of other issues: respawning people at the end of the round via points would be awesome, people who get jockeyed back could be ignored by their team, etc. I like the teleporting rushers back part, but not the teleporting dead/vulnerable people forward part, basically. Regardless, kudos for sharing!
  23. ... really? The score after the third round was 300 to 2300. In that third round, all of our corpses were within view of the saferoom (and most of them less than a few feet away from it). The fact that it was a team of almost entirely members does not mean that it was balanced. It, was, not. Obviously if 10 people behaved a certain way, there was more going on than you've admitted here. By the time tsunami came online, we were already out and were trying to fight it out from under an overhang. We stayed in long enough to be sure that nemesis hadn't actually started the event (he'd only answered the radio), and after that, we left. Tsunami did a round time check to see if we'd stayed in the safe room; she didn't see us there herself. In terms of the fourth round, I do believe our behavior was juvenile and unacceptable. I apologize for what occurred there, as it was griefing and should not have happened. Moreover, I have stated that I respect Tsunami's course of action given the information available to her. However, that said, I think what frustrates people is the way the 5th round panned out, and this is why we still see emotions about this issue. The fact is, while the infected team was obviously upset in the fourth round, and therefore we should have left, in the 5th round, it seemed that your team encouraged our behavior. Nemesis was the only one to go out BECAUSE someone on your team told us to send one person out, while the rest of us could stay. Later, when we saw the event wasn't going, we did leave and try to start it ourselves. On one hand, we were asked to leave in the 4th, and didn't, which yes, is wrong. On the other hand, in the 5th round, people didn't seem upset. They messaged Tsunami, but not us. The long story short, I apologize for what happened in the 4th round, both for myself personally and to whatever extent I may speak for others, but I think the 5th round is another matter. Regardless, Tsunami is a respectable admin and I think she was in the "right." Admins have to make quick judgements about what is going on, and I probably would've done the same thing that she had in her situation. She's normally a very "nice" (in her own way ) individual, and is one of the most well-tempered administrators on the server. I have never witnessed her abuse her authority, and I don't believe she did so here. Separately, all I read in this thread is an attempt to incite people, and I'm disappointed. Flitterkill told everyone to drop this issue when he lifted the bans. Everyone. That includes the supposed victims like yourself, Peanut. I really like you, and I think you're a great player (although I know you have inverse feelings towards me in both respects). I think you need to let this go, and people need to stop gossiping about it. This is supposed to be a friendly community, but all I see here, and largely in the last couple of days, is a lot of rage.
  24. How were we going to save the dude, avengers? Oh, yeah, go out and help him? Tell me, how well did that work out in the 3rd round? You know, the round where we all died LITERALLY RIGHT OUTSIDE THE SAFE ROOM. Trying to save him would've meant getting all of us killed. Tsunami, the only messages we received from the other team in the 5th round were those of approval. We were told to send one person out to start the event, while the other 9 of us stayed in the safe room. We were not asked to leave, and we didn't. Moreover, NOT listening to your team is ALSO a form of griefing. I personally wanted to start the event and go hide under an overhang, but instead we as a team decided on the safe room. Would going out and suiciding to the zombies not have broken server rules in two ways 1) Not communicating with team 2) Commiting suicide? All I'm saying is that everyone was placed into a difficult situation, and our side of the story is being ignored, which really, really, sucks.
  25. Well, seems like this isn't going to be reviewed by anyone who can/will do anything about it until tomorrow, once the ban is practically over anyways. What a waste of a night I set aside for L4D2. It seems ridiculous that we followed admin. orders in the 4th round, and then went along with general will in the 5th (at least insofar as we could perceive it, since the only people upset about what was happening did not tell us so in the 5th, and in fact, we were led to believe their team was fine with it), and yet we are still unable to play.
