how about a laboratory, or a dog pound, or a neighborhood/subdivision. i am also surprised not to see more matrix themed maps. you could model a university, or a skate park, a factory, a workout center (complete with olympic sized pool and weight room!), or something different you could have an iceworld type map that is just a forest. just ideas, hope they help!

well i was dead (imagine that) and watching you, and all your teammates were dead, and you had never left spawn, and had not made an attempt to get the bomb or anything. after some gentle nudging by sanders (ie. multiple messages) you started to move. he asked you not to spawn camp, that was the end of that. as for the tk'ing i have no idea, but your spawn campin was annoying (although not illegal)... don't know what to tell ya - sorry

don't curse him, watch him. figure out what he is doing differently than you. remember there are multiple parts of throwing a good disc, from the approach (as simple as how many steps you take) to the power (i used to throw really hard and have actually let up some, and throw farther) and then the finish (what direction do your hips/arm/hand point and where does the disc actually end up). play around with it a bit, throw a disc back and forth (DON'T CATCH IT THOUGH) with your buddy and work on form...

i really don't remember that portion of college either...

problem is nuke rarely comes up in the rotation on the 20 man server, seems like the only map on today has been dust2 - and i can only use the servers under favorites due to CS issues, so i just can't update the whole world of servers and jump into a nuke game...

reg frisbee = pointless mags and i can toss a frolf disc longer than the distance of a football field. u just can't do that with a regular frisbee. plus, like we mentioned before, the shape/contour of the disc is designed for long flight (at least for a driver) as well as taking on wind, which a regular frisbee can't. so a frolf disc gives you distance, and usually (lol) accuracy. mags, u got a digicamera? we should take one with us next time we go out.

okay so i have learned that you need this jos.wad patch to be able to play the nuke map. i downloaded the patch off the web, and i still couldn't play. somebody in the community sent me the patch via email, i saved it to my CS folder, i still can't play. anybody got any suggestions?

question 1: is there a difference between frisbee golf and disc golf? the size of a frolf disc is about half that of a normal frisbee and they differ in contour (aerodynamic shapes, different shapes for different types of discs) and weights (in grams). question 2: do you use more than one disc? mags uses about 12 discs, i use about 5. you could easily play with just one ( a mid-range driver, such as a Shark) question 3: if you do, what are they? Drivers, the most aerodynamic in cut, usually have one or two of those for different wind conditions and different flight paths. a midrange driver is a disc u might use as a long distance approach disc. usually we have a crash disc that we don't mind when it whacks into trees, and we use that to throw a tomahawk as well. a putter or two in the bag as well, as well as a few approach discs for short range approach shots. each disc, based on the contour/cut, is used for different shots. it may seem silly to have so many discs, but they each fly differently and the wind conditions can dictate which disc u use on a hole by hole basis. question 4: If you use a driver...how in the world do you get those things to fly straight? I mean I bought a cheap driver from walmart and it's 1.65grams and when I throw it the end that isn't in my hand points downward no matter what I try which causes it to curve drastically in that direction. drivers are manufactured to dive left; almost all Frolf discs do this. however, this shouldn't happen until after the disc reaches maximum velocity and starts to fall in height. really snapping your wrist just as you release the disc can help to counteract the left dive somewhat. but the most important thing to remember is that a frolf disc is not thrown like a frisbee, you have to use your entire body to really throw a frolf disc correctly... sorry for the novel but i haven't played in three weeks and mags and i are going on a three day weekend of frolfin here pretty soon so i am geeked to get out again!!!

okay, my wife still has her laptop that she used during our sophomore year of college (1997 or so) and one of my buddies is pennyless and cpu'less so we figured we'd just give it to him so he had something with which to access the internet. so anyways, its slower than anything but it still works. what do i need to do before i give it to him to insure that there is no personal/priveledged stuff on there, like a credit card number or something. its not that i am affraid that he will find it, its that someday he'll toss it away and somebody else will go digging through it. anybody know/can help??? many thanks - ratch

IP for the 24/7 dust server i play on (32 man) is 64.2.243.133:27016 it is usually dust 2 and is a nice break from tropolis cause sometimes i can kill more peeps than kill me when i go there. but not normally . its not a bad place to hang out and work on my game, but some of the players that go there are pretty lame, and some hack. no swear filter/policy like this community. there has always been an admin on and when people complain about a player, or someone is hacking, they put it up to a vote to kick them or not. i really don't care, i just go there to play. its good for that and there is some teamwork, especially if you go T side.
