  1. Thought I would share this with you all to show how much other riders support eachother. This is a local group's memorial ride for a friend who was killed when he wrecked his Yamaha R6. The riders mother actually got her son's bike back, and formed the ride. The blue Dodge Ram is her truck, and the bike in the back is her son's. "Mopar" Memorial Ride Video I, unfortunatly, was not able to attend the ride since my 600 was stolen a few months back, and the 250 has been sold. Being bikeless has been a difficult time so far.
  2. Which info you talking about Fatty? Last time I had played CS was a month or 2 ago. It ran slower than mud, low FPS, and good amount of choke/lag. I started Steam up for the first time in a long time the other day, and it prompted me that Video drivers were out of date. So I hopped on over to the ATI site and grabbed the 5.5 drivers. Everything is much improved graphics wise. As for the Nail and Aurora.exe remover, it is pinned up at the top of this forum. Just ran it out of curiosity of what it would accomplish. I really like that it deletes itself after you run it as well!
  3. I was really getting frustrated with my video cards performance, and had even stopped playing cs becuase it was running like mud. Thick mud at that. I ran that aurora.exe/nail.exe remover, and updated my drivers to the 5.5's last night. CS runs smooth as can be, and I have gotten a very, very significant increase in FPS. I was down to running all the low res stuff in cs, which made the game look horrible. I didn't even want to play it. But now I get a constant (capped) 50 fps even in firefights. I know my ATI 9600XT is older, but not completely outdated. It will still run pretty much everything out there on decent settings just fine. But it had gotten pretty bad. If the 5.5 drivers can give new life to the card, I am really looking forward to seeing the 5.6's. Thanks for the heads up ZD!
  4. I am quitting my job, buying a few "toys", investing, saving, and Starting construction on one of these... Only mine will have about 160 hp, 80 lb.-ft torque... Kawasaki ZX-10R's 998 cc inline 4... cha ching!
  5. Best Buy has it coming out on the 14th. But... Since we are getting married, buying a house, and expecting sometime around Nov or Dec, I will have to come up with a good excuse to buy it. I need help, I know! Is this going to be pretty much multi player only like BFV?
  6. I know what I am getting June 19!
  7. Sorry for the rants! I am dog/house sitting for my parents and I am bored.. Due to ATT and Cingular merging, I was forced to give in and get a new phone. I am now with Cingular... (ugh.. ) My new phone is a Samsung X247M. It is a piece of garbage. It is plastic, which is ok I guess. It is small and light which are both good. But, the flip open hinge feels cheap and wobbles. I really don't see it lasting anywhere near 4 years. The battery is already starting to crap out. I have always let it run completely dead and then recharged it. After about 6 months of use, it is already starting to die after incredibly short amounts of time. The speaker has to be positioned just the right way against your ear, or you can't hear diddley squat. The microphone (receiver, whatever you want to call it) is the exact same way. The thing has no projection to the ring tones, and insufficient volume to hear it through a pocket or even a room away sometimes. No I am not deaf. The vibration setting is pretty useless. I can't feel it unless I am sitting down with the phone right against my leg. I always used the ring+vibrate function on my moto, where it rang and vibrated at the same time. With the Samsung, it rings 3 TIMES, and then vibrates for a split second. Pretty worthless setting. The buttons are also tiny and very hard to be sure that you successfully pressed one without looking at the screen. If you have fat fingers, you WILL press many buttons that you really didn't want to. Trust me! I don't know how the higher priced Samsung phones are, but I would not buy another based on this phone. Just my $0.02 on the cell phone topic.
  8. I used to have a Motorola V 90 or 60i. Can't remember which one, but they are both basically the same model, just ones a bit newer. I bought the phone when I was 16 and used it for almost 4 years with only one problem. The charger problem that Clueless mentioned is very real. I do not know if they have changed the design of the charger, but the contacts would not line up right on mine after about 3 years. So really not a huge issue, as most people now adays change cell phones like they change underwear it seems. If you plan on keeping the phone for a while, be gentle with the way you plug in the charger. I can snap a picture of the 4 year old phone, still working, and the charger for reference if you would like. The case was actually metal, and not plastic which was important to me. I work in a warehouse so I am on or around forklifts and equipment quite a bit. My Moto survived countless beatings. I don't know how many times it would slip out of my hand or out of my pocket and slide quite a ways on a concrete floor after a 4-5 ft. drop never leaving more than a slight scuff. I dropped it on my driveway the first day I had it, which resulted in the only deep scratch on the casing. By deep scratch, I mean the only one that didn't just "buff out" with wiping from my t-shirt. The most impressive survival act of the phone was about 6 months or so ago. I was about 10-12 ft. up in the air on a lift when I dropped my phone from my hand (about 4 1/2 ft) to the lift platform, then bounced and fell the rest of the way to the concrete floor. The plastic snap-on clip flew off, but the phone was undamaged. I'd like to see the majority of today's "disposable" plastic phones survive that undamaged. I am talking no scratches or scuffs. I also had no problem getting service basically anywhere. Although that could have been because of the carrier most of the times. All in all , other than the charger issue, I would rate the Moto a 9/10

Beautiful dog Chewy. Those dogs are so nice and loyal. Had a friend when I was young that had a German Shepherd that was a retired police dog. Nicest dog until you gave her the "sick 'em" command. She still wouldn't full force bite, but she would nip at your ankles and legs enough that you couldn't get away, even on a bicycle. Sad to see so many states passing "Breed specific" Bans. There are states where they will come and destroy your pitbull, rottweiler, or whatever breed that they have labeled as dangerous if you can't find someone in another state to take them. The list includes dogs like Great Danes and Mastiffs. Yes they are big dogs, but everyone of them that I have ever met have been gentle giants. Heck, I have had dogs all of my life. I have had a Siberian Husky, 2 Wire hair Fox Terriers, a Schnauzer, and a Lab/Retriever/Chow mix. My cat (Pictured above) has bit me more times in the 7 months that I have had him than all of those dogs combined. Hey, after they get done banning everything that might be trained to bite someone at some point in time (every animal in the world), maybe we can start shooting people that aren't wearing their seatbelt! I guess that's another political topic that I shouldn't get started on... At any rate, help stop the breed specific laws!

If the shirt with a monkey holding a banana causes ruckus, I will edit the photo. And the cat is scared of the rat. He was really just jealous that he was eating the lettuce. That's right, the lettuce. Not so much about the meat or the cheese.

Here's my cat, Buddy, and rat, Herman. The pictures of Buddy really show off his temper. Sweet and innocent, yet lazy and stubborn. No, my cat is not an alcoholic (although I have pictures that would suggest otherwise.) Herman is way smarter than Buddy. Right after the 2nd picture was taken, he tried to drag off a hole taco. I guess the scraps he was stealing just weren't enough. And yes, they play together. I am sweet and innocent. Leave me alone. It was a long night! I'm the REAL cute one. Hey, that's my dinner!
  13. Congrats on the house! I love the look of the house and the yard! I will always have to have a big yard. My goal is to eventually live on land a little outside of the city. But, I love the house. Very cool that you got to move into your childhood home! So will a new hoop be going up to replace the old one? I will soon be purchasing my first home as well. Strange to think. I will be married and be a homeowner pretty soon...
  14. Nice find. Dunno if any are on my system, but will probably investigate it and run if needed. Definitlely a sticky item.
  15. From what I understand, network+ is just basic overall understanding of networking systems. CCNA is a lot more focused on details, especially with cisco products. Will be taking all of the above (A+, Net+, and CCNA) hopefully within the next year or so. Will coincide with me going back to school! Time to get serious about moving up in the world of work. Our local community college also offers a network security certi from the NSA. You earn it while taking classes. Will definitely be going after that as well!
  16. I can't wait for episode 2!
  17. Well, I love cars. And a wide variety of them. I love the M3. Perfect blend of power and handling. I have also always been a sucker for a 300zx. (Theo Lee's 300zx pictured) I have also drooled over the thought of a Shelby Cobra. Not just the mustang, but the 2 seat roadster as well. And the new ones look super nice. I will mention the Ford GT. Saw one the other day, and it would be well worth going into serious debt for... Catriona yelled at me for leaving drool spots while watching and hearing it get onto the highway. Way better car for the money over a Ferrari.
  18. I had a problem with a DVD-rom that was past its RMA date. I called and explained that I had finally gotten time to mess with it and find my problem piece. They told me the RMA number was still good and to send it back. They did not have the same one in stock, so they sent me a credit and I actually ended up purchasing a DVD-RW drive for about $20 more from them. Good customer relations usually = more money spent there. Also got $1 shipping on my monitor Can't beat that. Other good thing about newegg is the turn around time on orders. I order, they process and get out using FEDEX (big plus for me as I really despise Turtle-speed UPS). I receive my order 2-3 days later using their usually free ground shipping. Nice huh.
  19. Wow. I am running AMD 2600+ Barton, 1gig ram, 9600xt and I get steady 40 fps on most maps and most times (including firefights) with decent resolution and graphic settings. FPS jumps to 99 and over 100 on some parts of some maps (little detail, small areas ) Can't imagine that your system would be running under a steady 60-70 fps with decent settings. Lower resolution, and minor tweaking should get you a nice increase. Or atleast I would hope so....
  20. Congrats man! I am proud of you for sticking it out. I decided that I needed some time off after about a year of school. Now, a lot of things have changed in my life, and I am trying to manage going back this summer. We will see how it goes. Good luck on finding a good job doing whatever it is you want to do in life! Have fun with the new stage in your life!

    DJ's

I know we have a couple of guys who DJ on here. Anyone got any suggestions for a cheaper set of turntables and a mixer for starting out. I am not looking to get into anything professional. This is simply for my enjoyment. I have played the drums for about 9 years now, and really enjoy break beat and fusion/acid jazz stuff, so this seems like a fun thing to mess around with. Looking for decent equipment that has a reliable history. Looking to search on ebay for some used stuff. Thanks!
  22. Scary stuff Playaa. I am sure you know about the Highway patrolman who was killed in his own driveway by a guy that he was investigating for a DUI accident. I don't like this at all. Especially going against people's wishes to remain unlisted. I see possible lawsuits coming from that.
  23. I love freedom, but I really dispise having my info posted openly on a searchable database like that. My cousin is on there, being under 18, with her mothers birth month and year... This is a lesson to letting out personal information and letting companies sell your info to 3rd party companies. I guess most of the info on there could be found in a phone book. Has anyone tried to find people that you know that have an unlisted number?
  24. Anyone else play? I never played the original sims, but I saw a vew screenshots, videos, and reviews for the 2nd and it looked hilarious. And I was right. Pretty funny stuff. Very time consuming too. Good time wasting game!
