  1. I have to type !afk every 10 seconds when I'm in spec
  2. ^This. The ONLY players who become regulars or members after trying out these servers, are people who are ALREADY experienced in FPS games. Otherwise the skill difference makes it nearly impossible for them to do anything for a long period of time.
  3. I've got one. This map has been played in promod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=183952519 Dam it 2! The Director's Cut
  4. you know you play too much l4d when
  5. I feel like we should master urban flight before bringing in any new campaigns.
  6. we can always revert back to normal if things start to look grim, but I'd say it's worth testing it out for a bit to see how it goes, you never know.
  7. clony, I think you're way overestimating the extent to which the survivors will adapt to the new scoring system. While it does give the rushers more incentive to go about their business, an average player who has consistently helped his team in the past will not be inclined to suddenly become a rusher as a result of this change.
  8. It still intrigues me now as to why this hasn't already been implemented
  9. Such Noob. Wow. is the end of his name and an appropriate reaction to the video. Ace shadow made me cringe more Kappa
  10. should've stepped back when you saw the spitter instead of jumping on the rails, could've saved you there
  11. because we are community oriented, not skill oriented In that case a "competitive" try-hard server and a "learning experience" noob server I mean, I don't see how this idea hinders the community-oriented theme. If someone thinks he's got what it takes to play in the big league, then join the competitive server, and if someone is just looking to have a good time playing l4d, then join the not-so-competitive one. It'll also reduce the occurrences of stacked teams happening.
  12. Why can't we have a try-hard only server and a noob-friendly server?
  13. that's true, but what if every player on your team is skilled enough to handle themselves, and all you can do in that situation is to stand there and perhaps shoot at some commons at best, since this is AFTER the infected team has JUST been wiped.
  14. if we can draw the line between opportunistic forward spawn blocking and rushing, that'd be nice I've encountered this scenario numerous times as survivors. It is when your team is just about to reach a choke point, and you realize that there are a lot of fresh SI deaths. Is it considered rushing to go pass this choke point and secure the forward position? For example, the second map on no mercy, the parking lot that has two sets of stairways, the straight one that connects the subway to the parking lot, and the U shaped one that leads to the panic event. Your team just took a big hit at the straight stairway, couple incaps here and there, but the situation is not looking too grim. Let's say you are one of the survivors and you are perfectly healthy. Within this time window, knowing the fact that the SI team could not possibly have set up at the next U-shaped stairway yet, is it considered rushing to rush upstairs and spawn block?
