Well? Hows it work? There are 8x boards but they are running about 250...thus me running my 9500 with a 4x board. As stated previously...no issues running 8x cards on a 4x board.

Ok, I own an All-In-Wonder Pro 128. Has...like 32mb ram & does a good job of both video capture and playing (for a p3-600). When I built my new puter I got a Dazzle 150 for video capture (about 150 bucks). It works better than the AIW but I think my AIW was limited by my system and not it's ability. After using the Dazzle and the AIW I think, had I to do it over again, I would go back with the AIW. Mostly because I don't have to have this extra piece of hardware on my desk. However, if you already are happy with your system and just want to add capture then Dazzle works. One thing...Do not buy the Dazzle 80. It was horrid.

As far as these two posts you could be Joe Somebody who happened along the server and got tinkled. I played with Muffin over the weekend on Train. I followed him multiple rounds to cover his back. He was AWPing the same route each time and was doing very well. Course I've seen quite a few good AWPers do the same thing. Also, when he was switched to the other side and I was playing against him I didn't find him to be unstoppable. I killed him a few times and he killed me. So, I would suggest you back up your accusation with more than what you have. Perhaps point to a specific instance or provide a demo of his play yourself. I don't think he has played in but 2 MCC matches.

You can get web traffic on any port but it has to be specified in the URL such as "http://www.myserver.com:8080". You also have to have your webserver listening on that port. Course people visiting would need to know that to specify since browsers will ONLY go on port 80 unless specified. Far as your modem. It would not suprise me if you had to direct connect to the modem to do any config settings. Going through the router might cause issues. Doesn't ZD work for MSN?

I think your responses have given very good explanations to your feelings why they are heros. I guess the thing I'd point out is these 7 people were heros on the day they launched the ship...not on the day they died. I read that the 8x is only for DVD playback & such...is that true? Sounded like the 4x would be used for everything else...not sure tho.

It's just that it is very high profile. I understand what you mean. Nobody spends this much effort for the people who are killed every day. The tragedy of it is that you have to work hard and be very skilled to go into space. Those people aren't born every day. You would never get me into a rocket ship...I don't even like to fly. I too feel for the families. It getting so we don't think much of the space missions till something like this happens. We send many more shuttle missions up than I even know...heck, I didn't even know this one was up yet. What a change from sitting around the TV at school watching the first shuttle go up!!!

Thats the kind of box I need to buy for my parents...they have to lug the mini-tower to Florida and back 2 times a year. I can certainly see a benefit to it.

Rev, when I first got my 9500 I put it in a P3-600 with 512mb RAM running 133mhz bus. It took my fps from about 30 in CS to about 70. I would still see an occasional drop to 40 or 50 in heavy battles. Prior to the video card BF1942 was playable but the graphics had to be at the lowest settings. Playing Jedi Knight 2 was choppy when going outside buildings. With the new card I was able to run 1942 at higher graphic quality and JK2 all out.

I got an ATI 9500 pro and love it. I paid a bit over 200 but I didn't shop around cause my patience for that is zero. I do think you can find one for less than 200. Batman has an 8500 and has no issues with that. I think he got it for under 100.
