Hi... I am a UT player, so many of you have never seen my name before... but I am getting into this CS thing. I suck right now... so I was hoping that there would be some newbie help around these parts.

I have not read any of the responces, so excuse this post if it is a repeat. Where you are in life shouldn't be the major concern. You should ask yourself if this lady is really the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. The second question, are you capable of making that decision at this time? Some people are a bit more mature than others. There are those that know where they are going in life, and know how they will get there. This is a basic responsibilty issue. Have you considered your future, and if so, have you considered the best way to help YOU obtain it? Now, the reason I say where you are in life, isn't such a major importance, is because if you can answer the above questions, than you will know if you are ready. Your concern should be your own happiness, and who you can be. I know that sounds a bit egotistic, and I would say rightfully so. Making yourself better prepared will help make your life a better one, and if your life is better, so will be those who are around you (wife + kids). The question also goes a bit more to yourself, than the question "when is the right time?" The fact you are asking this question leaves me to suspect you are not ready. The answer isn't in your core, and it seems she is using this as a way to maintain a releationship whiel you are not seeing each other all the time. Speaking from experience, distance doesn't ruin a healthy releationship; it can crush one that isn't doing so well. Good luck to you, and your gf.

I always view my dog as part of the family, as I am sure you do as well. Losing your pet is a terrible thing to go through, yet in accepting ownership, there is the acceptance that there will eventually be a time of loss, and even a time when you have to help them go. Just remember that is it ok to feel sad, even when people do not understand how you can become upset over an animal. It is difficult to lose your friend, even if that friend has fur and long nose. I hope that you will follow the advice your vet gives you, even though such advice will make you part with your friend. Part of responisble ownership is understand what is best for one over yourself. Cherish the moments you have had, give him a few more scratches behind the ear, and hope for the best. Good luck. Brian

I really don't like primevil. It always takes too long... someone always takes the tank away from the center node (critical for defense of the prime node) and when the tank isn't there, the truck ends up going too far from where it is needed. wait! Holy poop... I just sounded like a nerd complaining about the tactics of pubs... /slowly walks away

It isn't that I don't want to. Because of school and work, I simply do not have the time to make a match or practice. I know it is allot of fun to get to know the people you frag with all the time, but my time is going to vary so much come fall that I can't even say I will see the same people twice. I will say though, if I find that I have the time (probably in late Sept), I will join up. I can also say that at this point in time, I don't know of any other clan that I would join... so yeah... time to go frag!

I was there as well... and yes, they are recruiting on your server. I believe the clan tag was , or something to that affect.

Well, from an unbiased opinion.... I find myself going to your server only when there are at least 10 ppl playing. I don't enjoy the bots too much, so I try to avoid having to play with them. I really don't like how the bots usually end up on one side, and the humans on the other. The other issue, you use stock maps (to the best of my knowledge). Perhaps if you would toss a few custom maps in the rotation, more people would join the server. The other great thing about that, you can advertise that the maps can be downloaded from your forums. That will bring more players here.... and maybe strengthen your community. Just my 0.02.

Jiffy: I have been playing most night after midnight EST until about 2am. I go to various servers, but you can always search me out using the ingame browser. My online tag is the same as it is here (duma). It is in green and white.

It seems that most of the people that played it when if first came out, have moved on. Speaking for myself, I stopped because there wasn't any punkbuster, and the game had so many hackers that is just wasn't fun anymore. My old clan got owned by a bunch of wall hackers. We turned them into TWL, and they were removed... it just sucks that you have to be mindfull of the cheaters. After that match, we always wondered who was cheating just well enough that they didn't get caught. We only played a few more matches after that, and than I also just stopped playing. Now that PB is part of CoD, it is fun again.. like the days before the hackers.

I appreciate the offer, but I am going to go with... been there, done that. You forget that I ran a clan for a few years. It just recently broke up because I am in grad school, and the other admin's are busy with their jobs. So even if I wanted to, I couldn't because of time constraints. CoD was one of the games we played. I hadn't played it since UT2004 came out. I just recently picked it back up, and found your server. So, I thought I would give a pat on the back for the CoD people. Sad to hear you do not have any. That leads to a question, why do you have a CoD server (that is rather full every night) and no one playing CoD? Someone has to be running that server... right?

Is it an irony that we are worried about laungage while we are blowing people's heads off? BTW, I do hate the laungage in my headset... so if it gets bad I just disconnect from the chatting. If everything else falls into text, I can ignore that with ease.
