  1. for marginal to good accuracy, for examply...my shooting tallent: I aim for head with USP and can put about 5 shots and get about 2-4 hits in a very short amount of time in a medium to short distance. That leaves 7 more bullets to take on the guy behind the first target that figured he'd get an easy kill...I may kill him, he may kill me, but at least I'm not reloading after the first kill. Plus I bought armor... Deagle, better for long range with most of its power still there, USP is a peashooter at long range and not very accurate. For short range the recoil and rate of fire of the deagle is too much for me to deal with and I end up Shotgunning the target...aim, misfire, aim, misfire, aim, misfire...click click. Plus no armor so I'm toast in 2-3 bullets. Glock, at close range for me I might as well try to knife you or throw the gun at you. Long range its like..."HEY, <PING> I'M OVER HERE <PING> FIRE AT ME WITH YOUR BIG PISTOL <PING>" Medium range, one on one is where it shines. 20 round clip I can zero in on the head and keep popping the other guys crosshairs all over the place until he runs away or dies.
  2. they need more armor and weapons. I had the best stock armor after the fighters guild quests was done...not to mention the ugliest helm EVAR! (from the fighters guild dude that was fired) The best weapon in the game that I've found so far. Sword of Storms Dremora One hand long sword with 20 shock damage on strike...maxes out at like 28 attack at 125% quality. I played Morrowind for a month straight and only have found 1....ONE...ONE! set of deadra gauntlets...the rest is ebony and dwemer. In Oblivion, they give the whole standard set PLUS!!!! magic varients after going through ONLY the fighters guild quests. pft. So after your equipment is maxed then the quests become moslty borring fetch/kill missions to advance the plot...not like you get good loot...just to sell mostly. Yes, I agree, they need to have expansions...<along with code optimization>
  3. I stood next to the door killing the 3 dremora that came at me, I killed them so I was like..."phew a breather" and proceeded to heal up...I turn around and 3 more dremora and a big blue skinned dude jumped me. So I ran under Dagon's legs and into a few clanferer's more dremora, a spider dremora and I was like..."FTW Its me on one for 7/8 of the game and NOW they decide to throw an army at me....pffft...log." OH, and did I mention that when getting ganked by 4 doods plus sidekicks..yeah...yeah...like TWO fps! Suxors...
  4. Spoiler********** The game was almost too easy at the default difficulty level right up until I got to the battle with Cammaron. Now I'm trying to lead the emperor through the city to the temple and I'm getting roally flattened. gggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  5. Looks like you'd have to pretty much handpick your chip, and return it immediately if the core voltage is higher than 1.35V otherwise you're not going to get anywhere near the speeds they bosted to. As for performance...the benchmarks show it all...it leads above pretty much everything.
  6. http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05/10/dual_41_ghz_cores/ Someone read this all the way through and figure out what the catch is....this is too good to be true!!
  7. No wireless capability = USB wireless network adapter? 20 GB drive vs 60 GB drive = pfft who cares?? no HDMI = if you can afford HDMI you can afford $600 No memory stick or flash cards = only thing I'd have second thoughts about
  8. Going to buy PS3 with FFXIII come out, no ifs, and/or buts
  9. Similar thing to the Hot Coffee problem...you couldn't get to it without modding the game. But since the code is there...wham...rating change.
  10. Almonds are my major problem...need the same shot of adreniline. After that, anything green will get me sneezing. Anything that has dander will get me sneezing. Anything that sheds will get me sneezing. etc etc etc
  11. Could you post a link to a d/l location for those?
  12. okay...I'm a loser. This exploit keeps me alive. At my level restoration magic is a joke (lvl 11 or 12 I think). Money is somewhat tough to come by, have 5k ATM. Potions are expensive and not powerfull enough So I take Restor Fatigue, Health, and Magicka and dupe the crud out of them. Also works good for repair hammers when I'm in Oblivion. Proved invaluable when I needed the 10 ectoplasms. Note: this does not work on Nurnroot.
  13. And you also have to have an empty soul gem in your inventory oops, you already had a stone
  14. if you dont get the one for free then you gotta walk, which is slow, or buy one.
  15. Completely different catagorey. Same spells, pretty much same skills. GUI is completely different. I honestly like morrowinds better minus the fact that you dont have to mouse-over potions and such to figure out what stuff is in Oblivion. Graphic style is different. Imperial brick and mortar with peasant buildings is a departure from the artistic, almost natural feel of the tellavani towers. No clear winner. Story line. Oblivion is urgent, dire almost. Morrowind is relaxed, paced. Way different and not worth comparing. Difficulty: With the righ equipment and levels Morrowind is cake. Oblivion kicks my rear so far. Oblivion is more challanging so far. Still, Im not affraid in Morrowind to explore...basically fearless loot running...kinda cool. Oblivion has the edge. Controls. Oblivion in combat is solid. I like the fact that if I pick up a weapon Im not skilled with, then I can still hit with it instead of whiffing >75% of the time as in Morrowind. Other than that...its about the same. Graphics. Duh, Oblivion. Ive modded Morrowind to the gills with Better Bodies, Better Heads, Vivid Morrowind, Simmer Reducer (makes magic stuff have a sheen rather than an over glossy shine)...still looking for armor replacers and weapon replacers to increase the mess quality. Still, after the overhaul, it really looks much much better and it holds the replay value cause I'm not like...ew, ugly modles. I do also like the fact that my framrate is maxed in Morrowind instead of just at 30 Hertz. Still, Oblivion is beautiful. Overall, besides graphics and combat, there is no comparisons.
  16. piddely lvl 3 Imperial Spellsword. Heavy Armor Blade Block Destruction Illusion Restoration Alchemy I like the fact that I can cast spells effectively while wearing beefy armor and can still wield a high damage weapon when magicka runs out.
  17. "You can only rest when you're out in the boonies, unless you find a camp with a bedroll." Was this a typo? Did you mean 'wait' ? Yep, I finally had a chance to drive to a bigger town with a Gamestop and a BestBuy and I picked up z collector's adition. (Wanted to get the 102 page book for historical background). Running at 1024x768 HDR on V Sync off Draw distance full Distant lands on grass off (could care less till they patch it) Textures High Tree draw full I get 30-34 fps outdoors 24-28 fps when caching a new cell (tdt will tell list object number when you enter a new area and count down to zero when done...whereas morrowind had a slidder bar when 'Loading Environment') Indoor 40-44 fps Oblivion gate with multiple characters 24-28 fps. I'm happy at the moment. Not bad for a rig thats got an AGP 8 pipe GF6800 GT Overclock and a AMD 64 3000+. I did have a problem when running the opening cinematics...found out I needed to have Fast Write -> Enabled in the Bios. That fixed it. I've got a 5.1 USB Headset and the spell sounds get a big funky if I strafe sideways while casting...probably some kind of a sound projection problem with the drivers of the headset.
  18. I'll be posting questions as they come up...get enough of them and I'll organize a nice FAQ. 1) Out in the wilderness can one sleep if they dont have a bedroll or can you only wait when not in a camp or an Inn? I leveled while in Oblivion...and they dont exactly have beds. Had to finish the mission and go back to Tamriel to rest and lvl. ** Knowledge tidbit: type "~" followed by "tdt" without quotes to bring up your fps in upper right corner of screen.
  19. 1 cheese loaf + 1 can Hormel Chillie w/o beans + Salsa = the best tortilla chip dip evar!
  20. Read in the Oblivion offical forums that quite a few people are having trouble getting their DVD players to either register the fact that the DVD is in the Drive or it wont install the disk thinking its a blank media. I remember having major issues trying to load the DVD version of Sims 2 on my old computer. Problem was the DVD burner was too old and didn't have a firmware update for the new anti-piracy software...long story short, it would never run the DVD unless I purchased a new drive. I shudder to think about how long I've waited for the game only to get it home and have my DVD spit it back at me. Granted I've built a new computer system since then... Soooo....I know fileplanet has the game for digital purchase. Would anyone recommend the download? If anyone has any experience with it, what size is the d/l pipe? 5 GB is alot to d/l. I guess I'd rather physically have the game...but I dont want any install problems...gonna have enough hardware problems with framerate as it is.
