Out of my 2 threads in here, i know there were a few people who really enjoyed my megaman mixes, and i wanted to let you guys know that i just finished up a brand new one.. I need a couple more before i start getting into dates and when i will need the clips by. if you want to show off a dated clip that you have thats fine too, but remember the 10 minute limit. i'd suggest demoing all your matches and then when you end up with a really good one, you send it to me. you never know how well your going to play. About half a week ago on Scopeless i was 30 and 2 on nuke and just totally on fire with the famas.. but i forgot to record i was upset.

Fatty, i may have a solution for you. A few years back Ubisoft and Red Storm released Raven Shield for the PC - it was Rainbow Six 3. Im not sure if you played it, but it was an increadibly fun co-op game that played a lot like CS:S. .. but a bit more realistic. it was fairly hard too. Now, The demo for the Rainbow Six 4 is out and flowing around, it looks to be a very solid game, i played the demo and was pretty impressed. I highly suggest you guys check it out. Im not running an amazing system, i get lag.. but demo's dont seem to affect my FPS much.. it seems pretty friendly.. now watching them and recording them is something entirely different, but my compie does a decent enough job I need more people, so join!

I like my netcode settings much more. Yours is very jaggy and wierd. Mine feel smoother (atleast to me) and seems to be just as accurate. // ~~~kwix's Netcode settings~~~ cl_smooth 0 cl_interp 0.001 cl_interpolate 0.5 cl_updaterate 101 cl_cmdrate 101 Also some of the graphical tweaks are so strong they *hurt* for me to view, i tend to leave most things on, but then again i love the eye-candy. I stole your memory cache thing and your r_3dnow 1 r_mmx 1 r_sse 1 r_sse2 1 What does this do exactly? i couldnt tell if it affected my performance for the better or worse. Also, i was unaware of other drivers for my Rosewell GeForce 6600 .. are those actually better? .. i couldn't imagine a 3rd party being able to do it better then Nvidia themselves.. but.. could anyone tell me if they do work remarkably better or something?

No, the challenge is that it must be 1 10 minute clip - you cannot take seperate clips and send me more then 1, it has to be one, and it has to be 10 minutes (it can be longer, but ill only use up to 10 minutes of it, ill of course, check it and try to capture your best moments, so record 1 or 2 whole maps that you do really good on)

Your in - ill teach you all you need to know on demo recording. And just so everyone knows, if i get a lot more people then 10, i will expand the list to include even more! .. So 10 really isn't the cut, there really isn't one.. so if your down for recording yourself doing some sweet CS stuff - then let me know you want in!

I'd be happy to demo other stuff for you guys, but right now i wanna try to see if i can pull something of my own together - i'd be happy to join and film other events though and make some cool vid's for you guys.. i wanna learn how to do this stuff a little better. I updated the front post, and if you want in, please reply saying so, and ill add you in the order you've posted.

Silent Stile - 100% I did 1, and wasnt happy with it, so i did another from scratch and it turned out much better. First Redux I like the 2nd one a lot more.. those colors are a Pain to mix, never ask me to do it again. (Green/Blue and Red/Fire)

That sounded kind of harsh/rude. Vovik will switch, all you have to do is ask him - i do it constantly. and if he doesn't i shoot him in the face until he does. But yea, seriously - singling someone out like that is bleh. Another thing - it really shouldn't matter who switches, aslong as someone does, this 'i wont do it because he wont do it' mentality isn't really helping anyone. Don't be angry *runs and hides* As for how to do it, well.. the last time someone sent me a demo i got an error back, and im not sure why.. but if someone could send me a 'test' demo of like 30 seconds of play just to verify that it works, then this way would be Feasible, but i'd like to get a list started... Once we Verify that it works.. then ill start getting everyone's names down. Could someone please get me a mini-demo so i can make sure i can watch and file through what you record? ************UPDATE************* Those who are IN the take a 10 minute demo of yourself 'event' We can do this 2 ways - you can either send me a 10 minute event of yourself playing on a gc server (doesnt have to be scopeless) OR i can come watch you play for 10 minutes and film.. I would even play by your side and wait for a specific map if you wanted. To record a demo (if you dont know how) Just when the match starts, bring up your console (with the ~ key) and type: " record <filename> " (obviously write what you want where filename is, as that will be the name of the file when your done) It should tell you its recording, now you can close your console and play as per normal - Once you want to stop, open up your console again and simply type 'stop' It will save it to Half-Life\Valve\<filename>.dem *****ORIGINAL POST***** Greets everyone. A few weeks ago i posted my first efforts in the way of video editing with a little CS:S Video. I thought it was neat, it was fun, and i learned a lot - beyond that the response was very very positive, and i said that if the response was positive, i'd do more. Soo... I'm not really sure of what i can and cannot do around here in terms of hosting something (im not even .gc, im poor. i know, I know, im sorry, in the future i *will* be becoming a member, its a promise, i just dont know when. I know, I know, im sorry.) This isn't some big event, im not trying to say 'i want the server' .. or anything like that, im just not to sure if this sorta thing is encouraged or what. Yea.. so .. I mulled over some options for what exactly i wanted to do.. and initially i was thinking of trying something like 2v2 or.. 3v3 .. or some small team work and watch/record that.. But then i thought it'd be really, really to cumbersome.. and i have a great community of people already.. So why not just pick individual people while they are playing on Scopeless. Here's the idea - I want to pick a group of people who are well known in the community, i'd really like to have some good players also (m2, Vovik, Norguard, k-wix, Laz, Whitney, Fatty, ect, ect) Basically what im going to do is throw up a challenge to Everyone who joins. The challenge is this: How many people in the server can you kill in precisely 10 minutes? Map changes will not be counted, and the first round will probably not be counted (because of load times and such, its too unpredictable, you could get in and kill before me) While you are doing all of this - i will be spectating and recording you, and then go back and edit the kills and splice them together in a nice pretty fashion and theme it to music. At the beginning of the video i will make the audience aware of this challenge, and when all is said and done, i will Place you guys starting from the worst to best in the video. I would love to see how many kills some of you guys can rack up in 10 minutes. So i guess what im looking for is 2 types of replies with this thread, one stating that i can do this.. and its okay, and I wont get banninated or anything *hides* .. and .. i guess the other reply im looking for is for people who would be interested in doing this and signing up If the thread goes well, i'd like to try and get some of the Server #1 guys onto it too

I give Awp players a lot of flak for using that gun, and i really dont like the dynamic it creates. I think when a team of people get awps and camp the defense area, it really cheapens the game experience for all sides. I also think its really overpowered. I really think they should double the switch time for the weapon or make it take longer to zoom in, or do something to help balance the inbalanced damage with every other gun in the game. Also, the people who set up the cute macro's to instant-switch from the gun to the deagle after every shot to stop you from rushing? .. yea, i dont like those people much either. Anyone who says you can rush a AWPer and kill him is dead wrong, its almost impossible, I've tried so many times. you CANNOT rush someone who is good with that weapon.. why? because he is going to wait for you to show your face and blow it off, he's going to stand far away so you can't flash/frag him. He's also going to make sure you dont come out of hiding, or he's going to kill you. The only way you can really rush one is if you get the drop on them, and A GOOD AWPer knows to stay in the corner so this doesnt happen. The whole idea behind the gun is just unpleasent. Its not fair to any of the other weapons. That being said, does it take skill to kill with? yes. But put it in the book with every other weapon in the game and Every single one of them takes more skill to kill with. Especially the OTHER sniper rifle, the scout. I guess the price is supposed to balance this, but once the whole team gets one, there isn't really much you can do. you might get lucky and kill one or two, and then make it a fair fight by taking their AWP. But thats really just a luck thing and can happen with any weapon you want. I see a lot of people having props for those who can use the weapon in a different way then described above, the sad thing is that i always kill people who use it a different way - the only way to *be* good with the weapon is to camp a specific area and wait for someone to come out, or See them prematurely, and then switch to the gun, and kill them before they see you. The whole dynamic of the weapon is silly. I'd rather play without. That being said - im not biased against scopes, i adore people who can use the scout, or my favorite gun, the famas, can be pretty lethal at long ranges.. Another thing is that the AWP tends to favor the defending team. (because the defending team is naturally inclined to protect a target of some kind) I hate guns that are better on one side then the other. The offensive team has a timer, and therefore is kinda pushed through circumstance into the AWPers hands, which is kinda silly to me. So overall i much prefer the game with the gun removed. Buut.. im rambling at this point.. so yea.

Anyone else getting this as of recently? i've always been able to get on and shoot (reserves not counted, of course) But the past 2 days the server has been randomly giving me this message and not letting me on for the next few hours... and incase anyone is confused about what exactly im talking about.. I use a lot of custom weapons (FPS Banana, my own famas, ect, ect) and i guess the gc server doesnt want me using those.. but if thats the case.. why can i log in as per normal *sometimes* .. Seems like something finicky is going on.. can anyone elaborate/help a wixy-poo out?

"ok - i need half to go Double doors, and half to go water.. on my call - RUSH the doors! it *will* work" .. Then i run water and BOOM.. someone shoots me in the face before i can mutter a word. and everyone stands there.. and we loose again.
