  1. SophomoreMusic.com (site designed by my friend btw) this is a local St. Louis band...check em out... Bury our Sons and Daughters - music example
  2. Saw this on Thursday night. This was a pretty good vengeance flick. I had heard some bad things so was not too sure I would enjoy the movie. It is what I wanted though, a decent guy movie with lots of killing. There are some holes in the plot, the storyline is simplistic in parts and the acting suffers here and there but hey, it is not looking to win an oscar hehe. We enjoyed it and recommend it for the big screen viewing. We gave it an 82/100.
  3. I think it will be Rupert or Amber. I think Rupert will win if he makes it to the final 2.
  4. Just saw this last night. This was a decent chick flick/date movie. I am not sure how I got conned into seeing this when the plan was to see Man on Fire but the women have their mysterious ways of persuading us men.... I liked this movie though, it was entertaining and quite funny in parts. The best part is the chemistry between the two leading stars. Some movies just lack any chemistry and that ruins it completely for me...this was not that case. I would recommend this movie with no problem. We gave it an 86
  5. Ever heard that song by Leonard cohen covered by Jeff Buckley? Its a really good song i think.
  6. main page looks kinda freaky. tv tonight played about a 6 min. trailor...that does none of these trailors justice. directed by M. Knight Shyamalan, whose movies i have always enjoied....what do ya guys think?
  7. Trailer from another message by me: check it out
  8. I love fantasy books! I dont know if theres been a topic for this, but Playaa's comment on the Wheel of Time in the other topic definatly got me wanting to discuss them. Ive read more series than i can count, come across amazing ones, bad ones, addictive ones, some that ARE FAR to long(WoT ) and some to short. Currently i am waiting on the 4th book in the Game of Thrones series by George R.R. Martin. This series is THE BEST fantasy series I have ever read. ANd i am knowledgeable on this subject. Everyone whose read it agrees. If your a fantasy reader, definatly pick up the first book "A Game of Thrones". Feel free to name your favorites!
  9. whos going to see it? i did like 1, so i was looking forward to seeing the second. just saw a preview for it, 1st one i've seen, then popped over to This and got pretty disappointed i still think it will be good, but the trailer is such a let down any thoughts?
  10. Does this movie look clutch or what? I think I'm gonna try to make the opener on this one. Independence day was alot of fun. This one looks even better. Aug
  11. I myself like to listening to a vast variety of music. Not just English but other cultures as well. Right now i'm listening to some Romanian Gypsy music. It's real good. You guys might think it's weird, but i like it cuz i'm a musician that plays folk stuff and some off the stuff we play is gypsy so it's always good to hear this kinda stuff. that's all i wanted to say. How bout you people? anything you guys like listening to? other than English music?
  12. well...I was never a Harry Potter fan and when I saw adults reading the books I scoffed...but after seeing the first 2 movies and then reading the 5th book (I know, totally out of order) I am hooked...these are some good books definatly...I just finished listening (audio book) to the Prisoner of Azkaban last night and am eagerly awaiting the movie...then I looked at IMDB.com and they're already FILMING for the 4th movie...sheesh...I guess they hafta before the kids grow up too much but dang...that's some fast filming...and that kid who plays Potter?....can we say typecast forever?
  13. trailer this looks oddly good...in a kinda over the top fun way... plus it has Giovanni Ribesi...great actor (and Jude Law who's also a great actor)
  14. So I decide to take the girls out to see a movie. This one was recommended to me as well as Ella Enchanted. I wish I had taken them to Ella since it was geared more towards younger kids I believe while The Prince and Me is aimed at the 11-24 year-old girl crowd. It was a decent movie, it ran about 20-30 minutes too long though. The acting was good, Julia Stiles is as cute as ever and there are some good comedy scenes. My oldest, 6, loved it. My youngest, 4, slept for most of it hehe. I gave it a 77/100. It is worth student admission price but not full admission.
  15. I just saw the third one tonight and i pretty much understood the whole thing except for the end. Neo and Smith have it out... Neo wins... and the whole part with the Oracle and the little girl through my mind way off. Any one care to explain it to me? Thanks
  16. usually i hate friday night t.v. cause i want to be out doing something. But the last few weeks we've stayed home and I've watched this show. Eddie the uncle is like the funniest actor I've seen on t.v. sitcoms. That dude is funnnnnnny. I think this show is hilarious. Auggy
  17. I liked it...quick.. action packed..good movie... very quick ending
  18. Saw this last night. We enjoyed it but it was not quite what I was hoping for.... Ron Perlman does a good job and the movie moves along quickly but it just felt like something was missing. The acting was good, the plot was ok, the special effects rocked. We gave it a 75/100, worth the money for a matinee showing but not sure I could justify recommending full price admission.
  19. If anybody can find the remix of "Down with the sickness" from Dawn of the Dead. If you can find it please somehow contact me on aim @ crazypistoler04 or on irc #edreams pm edreams|san` Thanks much.
  20. i've really gottn into his new CD "Some Devil" any fans?
  21. Just saw this last night. It has gotten Zero advertisement in my area and is only at one theatre right now. It stars Val Kilmer and has William H Mancy and Ed O'Neill in it as well. The movie was great. I cannot believe it did not get more press. It is a nice suspense/thriller that keeps building throughout the movie. The fight/gun scenes are a nice change from hollywood special effects (A guy gets shot in the head and actually drops dead instead of flying 20 feet across the room). We gave it an 84/100 and recommend it for anyone that likes a good suspense. You do have to pay attention, it is not for the A.D.D. folks out there. It is written and directed by David Mamet who has a bit of a following. He has also done Glengary Glenn Ross, Heist, The Spanish Prisoner (another excellent movie).
  22. I rarely watch anything but sports nowadays (and New Yankee Workshop and This Old Hous). But this show sucked me in. The premise is kind of silly. But I find it intrigueing. I guess business interests me more than music (american idol). I have to admit, Troy was my favorite person left. Hated to see him go. But it was the right choice. You could see how that one guy actually called it right when he said he felt like he was being BS'ed. Troy pushed it too far. They set it up like a typical high pressure sales pitch (think car or time share) when they are dealing with very saavy (I would assume as much if they could afford that place... but then again, if you spend 35,000 for one night...) people, no need to screw them down. Who here thinks that one guy coming back with 2 minutes left to give Nick and Amy the win was kind of fishy. I dont put ANYTHING past D. Trump. I wouldnt be suprised at all if he sent the guy back because he wanted to exploit the 'relationship' between Nick and Amy. Just a thought. I would like to see Bill or Kwami win it. Kwami probably won't and I don't think Nick is forceful enough. I just don't want Amy to win although it is probably most likely. /sulks in the corner in shame after having aired his secret 'obsession'
  23. to the Incubus show in Columbus. Just thought i'd brag since they are one of my fav bands
  24. This was out only for a few weeks because the Passion destroyed it at the box office. It was done by the creators of Old School and Roadtrip. We went to see this not know what to expect and laughed our asses off. It was not as funny as Old School but boy, was it worth the view. It is more for a younger crowd (16-25) I think but we old farts still laighed quite hard.

    The Rock

Is he a good actor in your opinion? Or should he stick to Sports Entertainment? I <3 him.
