dwEEziL June 25, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member June 25, 2004 What's the name of the folder? Try running "command.com" from your "Run" line (opens a true Dos box not the cmd Dos emulator), browse to the folder that contains the folder you want to delete, the try using the "rd /s <foldername>" command to remove it (the "/s" switch tells Dos to delete any files or subfolders in the folder specified). [Mmmm]Homer June 25, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member June 25, 2004 Maybe a startup app creates it?
Preacher June 25, 2004 Share Preacher Member June 25, 2004 get a program like Regcleaner and look at your start-up. It's freeware and is nice, simple and doesn't include anything else. http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/...-cleaner4.3.htm just install it and start it up click the start-up list tab and see everything thatstarts automatically with windows. You can remove the start up command with a click.

Guest zerodamage July 5, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests July 5, 2004 Spyware. Download, update and run Adawre, then do the same with Spybot Search and Destroy and then defend yourself with Spyware Blaster.

Remove all of them. Then instead of using Kazaa in anyway shape or form, use E-donkey. It is much better.
[Mmmm]Homer July 8, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member July 8, 2004 Shareaza uses the E-Donkey and E-Doinkey, E-Donkey2000, Gnutella, and Gnutella2 networks. It's my choice when not running any games as it uses about 30% CPU but starts downloading immediately, I use WinMX when the PC is unattended for a day or longer as it uses a queue system by cross-downloads and I've had really good luck with it. 00b3rN00b July 8, 2004 Share 00b3rN00b Member July 8, 2004 Run HijackThis, go here and post your logfile and ask what you should do. http://www.webuser.co.uk/cgi-bin/forums/wwwthreads.pl Got rid of some nasty spyware I picked up from somewhere...adaware and spybot just didn't completely do the trick. These people are extremely helpful and quick to respond.

Guest zerodamage July 8, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests July 8, 2004 (edited) There is a forum at www.spywareinfo.com where people look at your log and tell you what to do. IT can get quite detailed. I say that you should make sure you have the latest 1.3 version of Spybot. And the latest updates. The 1.2 version doens't detect quite as well. Spybot should remove all of those things you listed. Oh, try running adaware and spybot in safemode, that may do the trick. Just make sure they are the latest and greatest versions.
