They did but a huge one was 19" and get this...you had to get up to change the channel & volume!!! Course there wasn't much sence in changing channels cause there were only 4 of them. Guest UberNewb December 9, 2002 Share Guest UberNewb Guests December 9, 2002 And you had to walk, barefoot in the snow, to the department store to get one! And then you had to carry it home on your back! And even when you got it home, you always had to mess around with the rabbit ears to get even fuzzy reception. And then your crazy uncle Phillip would put tinfoil on the ends to try and get it better, but it usually just made it worse. And everything was black and white, so most people didn't know what their teams' colors were until the seventies... We'd just sit around the old victrolee and crank up some Louis Armstrong for entertainment. Ol' Satchmo would get the old folks' home jumping. And on special nights, we'd get to listen to the radio when president Roosevelt would talk to us.. Ahh, good old FDR.. he was a dear, sweet man, God rest his soul... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
