ConGregation November 30, 2004 Share ConGregation Member November 30, 2004 Kind of weird. I was going to play just now, first time in a month. I can view servers and info outside of CS. But when I load CS the server list will not load neither will it let me connect to a server. 'connection failed' Is this a known problem?
TheBugs December 1, 2004 Share TheBugs Member December 1, 2004 done even open up cs, just try connecting from ur desktop. try restarting steam.. that usually helps with everything.
Lunk December 1, 2004 Share Lunk Member December 1, 2004 what bugs said. I've opened CS and made changes to my settings, then tried to play and it locks up. So, I just use the server list from the steam icon to play.
ConGregation December 1, 2004 Author Share ConGregation Member December 1, 2004 Nope, didn't work. Funny thing is regular CS works fine. But CS:S will NOT work. It is like a firewall is blocking it or something. Because Steam has access and everything else has access but CS:S doesn't.
ConGregation December 1, 2004 Author Share ConGregation Member December 1, 2004 Well I should just think things through. Firewall had it blocked for some odd reason.

Firewall had it blocked for some odd reason. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you are using zonelabs zonealarm, you need to give cs:s clearance to access the internet. Basically, the firewall sees this as a new program trying to access the internet. Ran across this on my laptop.
