Ice_Berge_00 September 20, 2005 Share Ice_Berge_00 GC Alumni September 20, 2005 (edited) I'd like to put together a tutorial for making your own CS:S maps. It would include the early basic steps and some more advanced things. It would include links to other map making resources and server as a collection of ideas for map making. There are lots of tutorials out there. This wouldn't be a replacement of those, but rather a place to connect those together so that authors have a central place to go. I have some sources for good tutorials, does anyone else have links or documents or ideas to add to this? It could include writing your own tutorial/guide for anything you'd like. Ice_Berge_00 September 22, 2005 Author Share Ice_Berge_00 GC Alumni September 22, 2005 I myself dont' have much experience in doing textures, but if anyone is interested in doing a guide for how to do textures, or has links I'd like to include it. Are you volunteering?
Ice_Berge_00 September 22, 2005 Author Share Ice_Berge_00 GC Alumni September 22, 2005 Nice post shep, Maybe what I'll do is simply provide something that organizes tutorials for people based upon what they have. I'm still organizing my ideas
CowboyFromHell`X September 22, 2005 Share CowboyFromHell`X Member September 22, 2005 Nah sorry I can't volunteer don't really know much about it myself. I was just wondering because alot of people have good ideas for maps but can't find right textures to fit exactly what they want. Someone wanted hospital textures for the zombie mod and couldn't find them... but I couldn't tell him how to make them.
Ice_Berge_00 September 23, 2005 Author Share Ice_Berge_00 GC Alumni September 23, 2005 yeah I know what you mean. I'm sure their are tutorials out there, I'm gonna look at shep's link in more detail this weekend hopefully. I'd also like to finish lighting for my map this weekend so I can get it up to beta/mapnight stage soon. However, Saturday is killed since I"ll be up at my buddie's gaming in Milwaukee.
