Lunk October 12, 2005 Author Share Lunk Member October 12, 2005 Ok can someone tell me. Do they re-route ip traffic depending on the time of day? Here's why. When I posted my initial pingplotter it showed one route. Now I just ran it again and pingplotter shows a different route. They both are to Server #1. Ice_Berge_00 October 13, 2005 Share Ice_Berge_00 GC Alumni October 13, 2005 it's just plain MORE traffic in the evening. More traffic can affect how your connection is routed since it tries to always take the fastest path (long story how this all works) Also, you connection can very with each packet, generally though most of your data takes the same route. Your route also depends on your ISP, any routers going down/up between you and the server. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about routing, cept change your ISP
