Preacher August 29, 2006 Share Preacher Member August 29, 2006 SLI simply offers thje opportunity to run a second video card of the same type at the same time. You can run one or two video cards

DNA September 5, 2006 Author Share DNA Member September 5, 2006 Okay one other question... Do you need to use a Nvidia card with SLi MB's. If I have a ATI x800 card will it work? Or do I need a MB without SLi?

Vovik September 5, 2006 Share Vovik Member September 5, 2006 (edited) I got this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813157081 My friend gave it to me new, it's opened but I never used it cause I never got to buying a 939 socket processor. I don't really need it. It got both AGP and PCI-e ports. Lemme know if you interested, I might give you a good deal. It's supposed to be pretty decent board. Unclean September 5, 2006 Share Unclean Member September 5, 2006 I went with the premium because of the heatpipe (less fans for the chipset) and I saw a lot of complaints about the deluxe's chipset fans burning out quickly. But they may have worked out the issues since then. Plus some of my computer friends highly recommended the premium over anything else.
DNA September 6, 2006 Author Share DNA Member September 6, 2006 I just got a new ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard Socket 939 MB for $36 + $10 shipping NEW...That should do me..NO heat pipe, but would have been more money.
