Hey I figured out why I have been getting horrid loss...

With Charter.net, it used to be that I could call up, and tell them my problem, and where it originated according to Hypertrace, but nowadays, phone support goes mostly to Bangalore, India, where people with incomprehensible accents don't understand what you're saying, and won't deviate from their "It's your modem" scripts. I had to have a service tech out here, just so I could talk to someone... Problem (far from here) got fixed in two days.

 

Any company that uses phone tech support from India is brain-dead, since it's a good way to drive away customers.
