*BiGBonES** November 11, 2006 Share *BiGBonES** Member November 11, 2006 I'm trying to watch desperate housewives with my girlfriend on DVD on her laptop. No matter what ever program I open it up with (media player, real time, cyber dvd, vlc) it keeps telling me about the region settings not matching that of the DVD. Somehow we have ran out of the amount of region changes that the computer is allowed, so we cant watch DVDs unless they are from region 1. So how do I get around this crappy system? anonymo November 13, 2006 Share anonymo Member November 13, 2006 DVD readers are limited to 5 or 6 region changes. After that you're stuck on whatever your last change was. There might be some way to change it now...it was years ago (about 3) the last time I messed with region coding. Back then, it was black and white...change it too many times and it's permanent.
